  1. Sorry for the delay in responding Mike , but been away for a few days. The ad in question is a thumbnail video from what looks to be a logistics company called UXwework the thumbnail always appears just above the ebay (horizontal) bids summary on this page. it could be this company:https://www.wework.com/ see screen shot. Thanks
  2. Is anyone else getting annoying pop up videos on Soulsource? Unfortuntaely they're interfering with the clips when they're playing. Great tune this, unlike "love him in return". Years ago I bought a copy of this from Records by Mail, for which they refunded me as it unfortunately has a his through 30 secs. Kept the record though. Love the pathos in it , which reflects the lyrics: Earls Inc Just an illusion Zudan
  3. I like it. expect to hear it on the closing credits of the next Tarantino Western.
  4. Well can't believe the demand on this one, which I bought from King Bee about 8 years ago for £30. An excellent double sider , which also turned out to be a decent investment. I confess to not having heard it until I played it in the shop. There was only one deck and I had to get in a line of five people all waiting to play stuff on a Saturday afternoon, I nearly gave up and walked out without having a listen. Miss those afternoon outing's with my younger brother Geese. Anyway Reggie Soul & The Soul Swingers - My World Of Ecstasy Capri https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/182372135843?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

  6. Excellent great to see a contemporary tune on here.
  7. British only I think. A Pete Smith mixcloud show, turned me onto this, lacks a bit of an edge, but I likes it myself. Danny Williams ‎ I've Got To Find That Girl Again Columbia Applogies if it's been posted before.
  8. Martyn Give us a clue as to what's up with Jerry ? Please..........
  9. Here's one of my fave's, from the duo's LP The Love We Have, The Love We Had Eversince I Can remember 1973
  10. Often cited as a re-issue, though I rather think that this is either album only or Joe-Boy limited press. Anyway sometime during the late 90's I bought one from Beatin' following heavy plays by Richard Searling on Jazz FM as it was then. What a great show, with fabulous guests and chat. Clydene Jackson I Need Your Love Joe Boy one sided press.
  11. Wasn't aware of these manship moments clips. Thanks for sharing.
  12. The Philadelphia Flyers were a UK group , the record was plugged by Tony Blackburn. Must dig it out.
  13. Funnily enough I once had a conversation with my mate Billy Jaroszek on the balcony of Mr M's , relating to Teddy Lads. Mr Ms was largely regarded as the oldies room and Billy 10 years younger than me, asked me what i thought of the scenes future , whether it would be still going in years to come,. My answer was that I wouldn't like it to continue as a revivalist scene like the then 70's fashion for Teddy Boy (amongst others - as the 70's was pretty eclectic fashion wise) pop through groups like: Darts, Showaddywaddy,Shakey and Mud. "That'll be the day I thought"- of course Northern Soul never went away really . Anyway I digress, I love that Gladys record.
  14. Beirut was the Med place to be seen for Jet-Setters during the 1960's. 4 decades of Arab-Israeli conflict and civil war, put pay to that. A beautiful country , sadly ruined by war, politics and religion.
  15. Chums eh, was this at Eaton or Greyfriars ? I hope that you didn't send the fag's down to Woolie's for the latest 45's back in the day. :-)
  16. Never cease to be amazed at the Wealth of records on MGM/Verve Marlina Mars I'm gonna hold on to your love - MGM never seen an issue
  17. The Mike Morton Congregation Members: Barbara Kay, Bob Scragg, Dave Christopher, George Chisholm, George Paterson, Harry Friar, John Bridge, John Snow (5), Mark Stephens (5), Michael Giles, Mike Morton, Nicky North, Norman Fripp, Pat Marshall, Richard Howson, Sharon Winters, Verdi Stuart
  18. Thanks for a great article. I never read the previous posts so the debate was new to me. Either way as far a genre goes, the "These Things" is a great recording of great tune. Whether the content is soulful or not is irrelevant to the Northern Scene, I like the tune which obviously sounds better without the canned applause. Thanks for elucidating. PS does anyone have a sound file of the Move On Up track??
  19. New to me , Nice one. Typical of many (SS7) records played at the Torch, I'm surprised that this has slipped by. Has it had any legs anywhere Martyn?
  20. New addition. Otis Waygood Band Get it Started Decca UK
