  1. Flippin orrible - thanks for sharing though, a version that i'd not heard.
  2. Thought I'd share this as it's been languishing at the bottom of the box for 45 years, which is how much someone on here is asking for one right now. Jackie Wilson Helpess UK MCA might satisfy some of those looking for more funky soul breaks, but you'll pick one up at lot cheaper elsewhere, nice though:
  3. With bootleg's of The Millionaires Never for Me, going for in the high tens, why not go for a nice low priced original oldie instead. Another Stafford tune that still may have some legs, with a few nice breaks. A bit girlie, but I likes it: Amanda Humphrey-Power of Love-USA
  4. That's also a cracking version, I didn't know that there were quite so many. The Jesters' was the other one that I was thinking of, not the US Texmex group a Brit Group , this is more laid back:
  5. Here's what it went for: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/172535050400?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&autorefresh=true
  6. The only way is up, collect ability wise, I reckon. Written by Biddu, one of his better ones. Moon Williams I can't live without you Dick James Music (DJM) - not the best voice in the world though. I have another version in the collection somewhere, might recall what it is someday:
  7. That's very nice of you to say. There aren't very many Northern Soul birders (of the feathered variety) about. Regards Mick
  8. Some great postings on here this last week. Thanks for sharing guys.
  9. Not many "new" instrumentals about these days, don't know if this has had any plays either but it belts along in a big booming type of way, bought from Richard Domar about 30 years ago for t' other side: One sold on here today for £150. Ron & the Embracers "latin blood" Spectrum:
  10. I have a series of Soul Supply Northern Soul Story LP's for sale at £16 each, inc P & P All are in excellent condition, though the covers may have some very light wear. 11. Going a bit mod, would love a UK copy, which is more collectable than the French Fontana EP. The V.I.P. 's "Straight To The Bottom" Island UK/ Fontana France:
  12. From the album: Single Scans of Soul

Full name Errol Dixon and the Good Time Band. To my regret I ruined the label when I was a lad. :-(
  13. From the album: Rare UK Soul Releases

Basically an oldies crowd was in attendance. Chairs were thown on the dancefloor when Butch was trying to break Chuck Jackson 's What's With This Loneliness .

  15. From the album: Rare UK Soul Releases

One of the more obscure and collectable Jay Boy "Mirwood/Keyman" releases.
  16. From the album: Rare UK Soul Releases

Cover version of Little Anthony classic. Also covered (un-released I believe) by son Barry Ryan.
  17. Thought I'd share this "what does it take" from the David Letterman circa 1985 show that also includes a short interview. I always loved Junior from seeing him several times live. Along with Edwin he was always modest, appreciative of his fans and a remarkable performer. Junior Walker What does it take on the David Letterman 25 Nov 1985. Jon Anderson also released his Christmas album then.
  18. Love these whistful chugger's, beautiful!
  19. They had about 10 copies, I bought one about 12 years ago from there and sold it for £350 12 months ago. I actually posted it on Youtube and one of the band members niece's contacted to me to thank me for sharing it.
  20. Probably been discussed before, but here we go : Flash drive MP3's for sale: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NORTHERN-SOUL-MUSIC-PRE-LOADED-ON-A-USB-FLASH-DRIVE-IN-MP3-FORMAT/252693132934?_trksid=p2047675.c100012.m1985&_trkparms=aid%3D777003%26algo%3DDISCL.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D40809%26meid%3D6b860d1a36d44d8f95d810d75d539ca3%26pid%3D100012%26rk%3D6%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D282297812450 Surely BMI or someone in the music biss, can stop this sort of thing?
  21. Wasn't aware of this version at all Chris. Thanks for posting. Though I'll stick with the James Gadson. This version of the Little Anthony classic, is one for the soul police. Hardly "soul" I know but I just love the production on it. LP only I think.
