I heard it was Robert Stigwood who came to Wigan , liked what he saw (working class kids living for the weekend) but decided to give it a stateside setting. Makes more sense as Stigwood was a U.K resident.
Drove past the Wilton today in Castleford and saw the demolition taking place. I only went once or twice but I,m sure it holds some fantastic memories for some on here.
It,s exactly the same as mine in every way apart from the colour of the paper. Mine is beige ( sepia ? ). I,m referring to Page 3 which is all I,ve got I think. Bugger !!!
I have a U.S copyright certificate in Barney,s name registering Lady in Green as his work. Not sure of it,s authenticity as I bought it in a batch of memorabilia. Anybody else seen/got one or similar ?
