  1. Yes but they are boots
  2. Slightly different description now... It was been garaged in a collection for 30 years - so not something that has been sold recently. There is apparently only one copy. Sounds like it is two classics that were previously not available in a single disc It was delivered yesterday to John. Cheers Richard ??? ???? C/w ??? Especially for those dedicated global Northern Soul collectors who seek the ultimate rarities, coupled with unrivaled reputation and desirability. You are viewing The world’s RAREST Northern Soul Classic ORIGINAL having been a ONE OF A KIND 45 for near 4 decades. Totally, never having been for sale on the worldwide web ever before and spending the last 30+ years treasured in one of the world’s finest Soul collections. It is of course a the most-fabulous of Northern soul double-siders in a unique format that no other collector to our knowledge can boast of owning. Staggeringly beautiful and offering up two of the most accomplished pieces of our music you could ever wish to here. No matter how great your Northern Soul Soul collection, this 45 in our opinion would “for those who appreciate ultimate rarity & beauty in one disc” - crown it all. Gaze in awe as I did yesterday when it was delivered to me…
  3. Well its on £999 now Cheers Richard
  4. Just about to come on air now folks - 7-9pm The inaugural Dean Anderson show on Newark Radio - yea! You can listen locally on 87.7FM or online here: https://radionewark.co.uk/listen-live/ Cheers Richard
  5. I will also say I was right ... whatever it turns out to be Pretty sure there is only one gold Professionals, so will be interesting to see if it is that in the end. 17 hours and counting. Richard
  6. For anyone listening locally - it's going to be great listening to Dean through a proper radio instead of the internet. The 87.7 FM signal is nice and clear here in Newark Hope he gets there OK - just heard on the station there are problems on the A1 at Balderton due to an accident. Fingers-crossed. Cheers Richard
  7. Hi Rob. Don't think there's a listen again on Tulip. Haven't even checked out Newark radio myself properly yet - it's so new off the ground. Suggest checking out the Newark website. Other option is to listen using the TuneIn app on a smart phone if you can get away with it at work. I think the full version of the app includes a function to record broadcasts. Cheers Richard
  8. Think that's more of a decent rhythm section rather than an individual drummer if you don't mind me saying so Great record Richard

  11. Yes, you're right mate - thanks for that Cheers Richard
  12. Hi everyone You will already know that Dean Anderson does his brilliant T.N.T. Soul Show on Tulip Radio from Spalding on a Wednesday night. Well, starting tomorrow on Thursday nights there will also be a new T.N.T. Two show as well. This will be broadcast from 7-9PM out of the brand new Newark Radio station. 13. We discussed who the drummer was on this one a while back and it was confirmed it was the incredible George McGregor. One of the ,most stunning drumming performances on a soul record ever! Cheers Richard
  14. On now - Dean and Gez live in the studio - 7-9pm www.tulip-radio.co.uk Cheers Richard
  15. To be honest Jim, if I was doing a classy coffee-table quality book like that, rammed with most of the acknowledged true rarities, I would probably want to employ all the current technology to make it as attractive a product as I could. Would not be surprised at all if the copy shown on discogs and the one featured in John's book are actually one and the same copy, but just with a bit of photoshopping or "airbrushing" to tidy it up a bit Cheers Richard
  16. There are at least two gold ones if you read the thread above Richard
  17. We're not falling for that twice Ted ... Unless it's a gold one of course Richard
  18. I'm sure everyone else who has posted on the 7 pages of this thread will be chuffed with your analysis
  19. ZTSC 97692 was used for the re-issue on Thelma 114 of Joe Matthews "We Got A Good Thing Going" which was of course a version of Billy Kennedy on Thelma 109. Don't know if the ZTSC number was previously used on a legit 60s Detroit release also. Cheers Richard
  20. ZTSC 97691 is the Reflections "You're My Baby (And Don't You Forget It) on Golden World 19 - although the other side has ZTSC 97669 on it. Cheers Richard
  21. Can you please add back in the sold prices mate as per site guidelines? It's a really useful reference to see what stuff went for Cheers Richard
  22. I'm in Pork Pie land tomorrow Tee - on record-related matters - I could try and 'winkle it out' too - we could have a pincer movement Richard
  23. Yes but the other known copy is credited to Gil Jockstrap Would that qualify as a different format I wonder? Cheers Richard
  24. Good call Dave but I actually have that one mate. Took years to get it. Greg and Dave Flynn had one each. Mine is one of the two original copies (the story of the find is on Dave's website from an article in Shades of Soul I think). Mr Manship has def seen my copy, so had it in his had so to speak, and I reckon there's a handful of these. One (not from the original two) went through eBay a few years ago. Think someone on here snaffled it . Soooooo much better than the Mah's release - lots of horns and a very loud pressing. Rarest record on Solid Hit by a country mile, but not the rarest Northern Soul original ever - the plot thickens further. Richard
  25. Was looking for that special missing emoticon - can't find it
