  1. As I said above, definitely Darrell for me. Only thing is - if it's for playing out it needs to be Darrell Banks on a Revilot White Demo so it's similar rarity for a JJ Barnes
  2. Brilliant, rare, cheap
  3. Can't see that picture Ricky - is it just me? Cheers Richard
  4. Thanks Dazz and Nick This is a red Big Mack label with black print but just didn't look right. It's got a load of Soul Fire blurb pressing details and names in the deadwax. Must be the re-issue then. Was not sold as a re-issue though Anyone got any more information on either the Big Mack original or the Soul Fire re-issue please, including all the anorak matrix marks, label paper, font details etc? Cheers Richard
  5. Hi everyone Wondering if The Soul President - Get It Right / Got To Have It (Big Mack) - red label, black print - has ever been bootlegged or done on a legit re-issue please? I know at least one Big Mack record (Manhattans) was done on a repro. Thanks for any info. Cheers Richard
  6. I'm impressed by the quality of the photo of the Bell Sound stamp
  7. If you won an auction you should have received an email asking you to contact them like this one: CONGRATULATIONS You have won the auction [details of auction item] for [£ winning bid amount]. Please phone our order desk on 01664 464991 to arrange preferred method of payment. Cheers Richard
  8. So they aren't all NM then as per the headline? "Margie Hendrix - One Room Paradise b/w Don't Take Your Good Thing (Mercury) VG+ £50"
  9. I have had records delivered between two pieces of card in a jiffy bag - and I'm surprised they ever made it intact. A US-style mailer with card inserts inside that is well made-up is a sturdy affair - much better than the 'mandatory' requirements in that PDF. These US-style mailers are properly manufactured products for mailing vinyl 45s - Bags Unlimited stylee I don't really rate the envelope type UK mailers a lot of people use. Although I have seen these Royal Mail documents and similar before, I bet most people don't even know they exist. Richard
  10. As I understand it these turquoise coloured issues were legitimate second releases. Cheers Richard
  11. That ebay one still went for c. £1k
  12. Back Beat and you know it is LOL
  13. I use US style mailers rather than the UK ones. These are a little heavier than the UK style. With these, 1st class UK Recorded Delivery is always £2.30 and UK Special Delivery is £6.90. For sending Airsure overseas it depends on location and the value for insurance. You can check the price on the royal mail website first if you know the size and weight. I have recently sent packages to Austraila - they were both just under £13.00. I also sent one to France and it was the same price due to the value Two parcels sent to the USA were about £10.00 and £13.00 - the pricier one was due to the insured value. Cheers Richard
  14. No - not at all. Please read the sales guidelines on this forum.
  15. It's the New Holidays "My Baby Ain't No Plaything" on Westbound #157. This song isn't on Soulhawk. The Soulhawk #1008 release by the New Holidays has "If I Only Knew" on it. Both the Soulhawk and Westbound releases have "Maybe So, Maybe No" on them. Cheers Richard
  16. New Holidays Also unissued by Willie Harvey - also seen credited to Willie Jones. Others? Cheers Richard
  17. Would be interested to find out more if it is a female version Cheers Richard
  18. And while we are on the Parliaments ... I'll Wait/A New Day Begins (Revilot/Atco)
  19. How about The Parliaments - All Your Goodies Are Gone (Revilot)? Cheers Richard https://youtu.be/0TuC5MaRjqk
  20. Yes, that's how it works Cheers Richard
  21. Bobby Eaton is a great sound and the other side "Fever, Fever, Fever" is as per the Brothers of Soul on Boo. Cheers Richard
  22. ON NOW - TNT show 2 - Thursday. 7-9PM. Radio Newark. https://www.radionewark.co.uk Cheers Richard
  23. It says New Holidays in the title, but it looks like Mighty Lovers from the detail?
  24. Was this New Holidays or Mighty Lovers please - it says both? Thanks Richard
