  1. Agreed Boba. Don't think I have seen this one listed on any Dynamics label listings. Also doesn't feature in the price guides. Anyone else know anything please? Cheers Richard
  2. Hi all Anyone tell me anything about this one please? Presumed it to be the same Dynamics label out of Detroit as the Superlatives - but different label design and numbering system. An obvious link is Labney publishing. It's on vinyl and the deadwax markings include Archer and GM both scratched in. Any info greatly appreciated please Cheers Richard
  3. A careful check provides the following information: The seller ended this listing early because of an error in the listing
  4. And the condition of this one is???
  5. Roger Hatcher - someone mentioned it on here recently on the "name all the Detroit labels" thread. Here is a scan of the Whip record - went through eBay a few years ago now - f**k me why I didn't bid on it . Is this yours Richard or another one? Cheers Richard
  6. Hey Proph' - I have looked at this lot a few times recently and I'm really struggling to work out what is actually for sale and what has sold How about having one list that you edit to update it right at the top of the post and then post soundclips/scans below? Cheers Richard
  7. Nice one Paul - really enjoyed reading your post Interesting angles I hadn't really thought of much before. Cheers Richard
  8. Hi Dave. Yes, I will try and get round to a couple at the weekend. Sure there are a few I can add to the Ric-Tics as a starter for ten. Cheers Richard
  9. Red issue is much harder than the promo. Popsike prices - most are in in 40 or 50 quid range - up to $128. On eBay recently this one is higher 60-80 quid - sought after on there. A record that was on the edge for a long time - rare(ish) but looked down on as a cheapie - so never got listened to Richard
  10. Hi Dave I can add a few to that catalogue Cheers Richard
  11. Just because Sassy is the copy I have - 'kin beautiful label Local release versus national isn't it? I found this thread which suggests there may be differences in the different takes though: /Frank-B...ble-t86189.html Love (Your Pain Goes Deep) on the flip is totally awesome. Cheers Richard
  12. Yes Stubbsy - great call. One in my top 10 too. Often disregarded as an overplayed oldie , but imagine what we would say if this was discovered now!!! Fabulous hardcore male group vocal sound (the best kind ) with that building intro that gets your heart beating fast . This is a true Northern Soul record! Salvadors - Stick By Me Baby (Wise World) Cheers Richard
  13. Hey Chalky - if we are allowed more than one I will also go for: Willie Kendrick - Change Your Ways (RCA Victor) Eddie Parker - I'm Gone (Awake) Rita & Tiaras - Gone With The Wind Is My Love (Dore) Frank Beverly & Butlers - If That's What You Wanted (Sassy) Cheers Richard
  14. Jackey Beavers - Love that never grows old (Revilot) That intro just makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up - a real powerhouse sound with a gargantuan vocal - ooommmphh!!! Richard
  15. That is a bargain!! - absolutely stunning Detroit double sider - massive atsmospheric sound - a rare one too Cheers Richard
  16. Here is a pic sleeve of Don Hysong on Bard 1013 - not the 45 in question here, but I thought it would be of interest anyway. Cheers Richard
  17. Hi all Anyone got any advice on record cleaning cloths please? Are they really any good? Are there any negative effects? If they are recommended, which are the best ones and where can I get them please? Cheers Richard
  18. Great analysis - spot on! Richard
  19. These days you can buy clear sleeves made out of Archival Polyester (Mylar). Polyester is an inert material that it is claimed will not discolor, damage, or adhere to items placed inside it. It is also supposed to be relatively sturdy which gives extra support to fragile contents. Cheers Richard
  20. Gasher - if you want it on CD the Ravins on Demo-ristic is on the Kent CD Dave Hamilton's Detroit Dancers (Volume 1). Cheers Richard
  21. There is a scan of it in one of the Wigan books! Richard
  22. Got this today too. I just take it that there is a copy of Frank Wilson for auction in the catalogue. A catalogue is a list of things for sale. Having an account of a previous auction would be out of place and a rather misleading claim. I think we can take it that John has one for sale by auction and what better time to auction it than the 50th anniversary Quite exciting - hope I'm not wrong on this Richard
  23. A top sound - hard soul with a funky edge. Love the Ravins too Richard
  24. Darren - is this one of the three stockers you mentioned or another one? Sorry about the scan quality - it's from eBay, but clearly shows writing on the label. Richard
