  3. Hi all I have been listening through old some stuff recently on tapes/CDs etc. My collecting is quite focused these days, so I love listening to more general Northern stuff, CDs, old tapes, radio shows etc. with good stuff that I wouldn't normally buy or collect. Two tracks just popped up on a CD and knocked me out today: Barbara Lynn - You're Losing Me Lou Courtney - You Can Give Your Love To Me (great lyrics ) It made me think - so what tracks have unexpectedly knocked you out in a similar way? Cheers Richard
  4. Isley Brothers - Tell Me It's Just A Rumour Baby Cheers Richard
  5. Leah Dawson on gold Magic City Totally top tune - the drums are what do it for me on this. Most collectable format is the much rarer green and gold label. Cheers Richard

  10. I have the Laura Lee on Canadian RCA - will post up a decent scan when I'm back at home. Also have a few of the Canadian issued Ric-Tic label with the dark red label and silver lettering. I will list what I have got on that when I get a moment. Cheers Richard
  11. Great sounds DP - will give it a go tonight Cheers Richard
  12. Hi Linda The prices quoted will be for original copies of this. The issue is the black MGM label that was issued in the shops and is common and easy to pick up (eBay scan below). The demo is the yellow labelled copy that went out to radio stations etc. for promotional purposes. That is rare and so goes for a much higher price. For me, that is the only copy to have (my copy below) Hope this helps Richard
  13. Hi All Calling all anoraks Paper stickers on issue copies of 45s with the words FOR DEMONSTRATION USE ONLY N0T FOR SALE are pretty common on Detroit 45s on labels such as Ric-Tic, Golden World, Groovesville etc. However, there seem to be two quite different types. The first type is shown in the Golden World scan below. The stickers are white, and use slightly textured paper. The second type seems to be much less common. These are shown in the Columbia (Gigi & Charmaines) 45 shown in the second scan. This type is quite different. The paper seems much smoother, it usually looks 'discoloured' and has a blotchy 'greasy' look. I have this type of sticker on several discs that I have picked up from various sources in the US. Anyone know anything about these two types please - especially the second type? Cheers Richard
  14. Hi Baz I have this somewhere but I'm just on the train home after four hours of Wing Tsun so no chance from me tonight I'm afraid Davd Flynn will have this on his Anorak's Corner website - pretty much comprehensive as far as I remember. I have most of the Mutt 45s in case you need info or scans etc. - just PM me if you do. Cheers Richard
