  2. Hi all Anyone help me out with a copy of Ace Jones on Dynamics please? Ace Jones - Way Down Yonder/A letter To Mother (Dynamics 1015) PM only please! Cheers Richard
  3. Correct with the Shirley J Scott and Roy Handy 45s - plus also the Prophets release on Stephanye. Also Golden World - e.g. Tamiko Jones - Spellbound - and Ric-Tic e.g. Fantastic Four - (I've Got To) Live Up To What She Thinks. Cheers Richard
  4. A big thanks for all the comments on this one guys - really interesting stuff and much appreciated I also got some really useful feedback from Canada and from a number of well-known Detroit collectors - with a mix of views on this one. The only thing that everyone I spoke to agreed on is that they hadn't seen it before. I think the majority view was that it is probably an original issue and most likely a legit forerunner to the later deal with Quality Records in Canada - in much the same way as the London deal went for the UK release. I'm very grateful especially to John Manship for looking at this one for me. John was guesting on Dean Anderson's Northern Soul radio show here in Newark during the week, and so as a local lad I was able to pop down with the 45. John's view, with the 45 in hand and looking at the paper/vinyl etc., was that it is a definite 60s original - which is good enough for me - and obviously I'm pretty chuffed with that Cheers Richard
  5. Just a reminder that Dean's show starts at 7pm tonight . You just know John's going to be spinning some top class tunes - can't wait Cheers Richard
  6. Tonight Dean Anderson's special guest on the Northern Soul Show is John Manship. This really is going to be a great show. You can tune in and find details on www.boundarysound.co.uk Show starts at 7pm and goes on for a full 2 hours until 9pm. Cheers Richard
  7. Thank you - now sorted! And having looked back at my original thread I remembered that CIRCA company bag I had saved to put it in Soul-Source 'wants' defo did it for me this time Cheers Richard
  8. Which supermarket was it anyway Webby? SoulSupermarket? Ouch - groan - sorry, that was really, really bad Cheers Richard
  9. Great label choice Roger I'm missing a Bobby Williams which is this one: 50016 - Bobby Williams - I'll Hate Myself Tomorrow / The Last Time - 196? Who can post info, scans etc. or sell me one please? Cheers Richard
  10. What about this mate? ISAAC HAYES - WALK ON BY - STAX LP - Cheers Richard
  11. I didn't reckon it was them really Webby but I do rate that Stranglers' version - pretty much like the Doors really with a punky edge. Have you checked Refosoul? Cheers! Richard
  12. Hi Webby - how you doing? The best long version of Walk on By for me is by the Stranglers off the white EP that came free with the Black & White album - awesome bass playing from Jean Jacques Burnell (who is also pretty damned good at karate ). Vocals by Hugh Cornwell. Cheers Richard
  13. OK then that's Loma done - what is the new label of the week Roger Cheers Richard
  14. Hi all Looking for a no-hiss copy please Cheers Richard
  15. Hi all Looking for a no-hiss copy please Cheers Richard
  16. If anyone knows how to this for a 'normal' computer please also post up the details. And if anyone does record it, could I get a copy please? I usually miss the first half an hour as I'm on the train (but being a Newark lad I then just have to turn on the radio for the rest of the show). Cheers Richard
  17. Hi Rob - interesting stuff this. I have been asking around and have an open mind on whether this is legit or some kind of repro. First thing that strikes me is why bootleg it as a Canadian copy? And then if it was booted, why isn't it seen around more? So far nobody I have asked has seen this before. Regading the text, I agree it looks a bit non-standard but (for instance) some of the red and blue USA Ric-Tics had different copies with different prints some of which look similar. Just an observation about about Ric-Tic/Golden World releases in Canada - as well as the Reo/Quality 45s there are several Canadian Ric-Tics that I have (dark red label with silver print) which were also London distributed. Cheers Richard
  18. Hi Rob - interesting ... can you be more specific please about what makes you think boot? Cheers Richard
  19. The re-typed list which made it possible to view each record on an individual line and helpfully avoided the dizziness and headache you get from trying to work out what records are for sale when reading the initial post
  20. So my theory with this Canadian Revilot is that it was the first Canadian release of this 45 but for some reason that deal went sour, or the London deal just wasn't right when the record hit - hence it being picked up by Quality. Cheers Richard
  21. Hi Tony - the ZTSC number is scratched in not stamped and it's on vinyl rather than styrene. Hi Bri - Yes, it was released on Canadian Quality (see eBay scan below) which does make it a bit of a strange one I agree. Don't recall seeing it myself before and as it has the Canadian text along the bottom of the label I'm assuming it's an original rather than some sort of Repro. Cheers Richard
  22. How common is this one? Darrell Banks - Our Love (Is In The Pocket)/Open The Door To Your Heart (Revilot 201) It's on Canadian Revilot on a vinyl press. Distributed by London Records along the bottom of the label. Plus, which other Revilots came out on Canadian Revilot? Cheers Richard
  23. Hey Guys - November 2008 and I'm still waiting ... Ann Perry - That's The Way He is (Theoda) Styrene Circa Distributed with Circa Rosette pleeeeeeeease PM or email only please: premium_stuff@hotmail.com Cheers Richard
  24. Trying this one again as another more recent post just snaffled this 45 in the desired condition. C'mon guys ... flip is "Ticket To The Moon" PM only please or email: premium_stuff@hotmail.com Cheers Richard
