  1. I don't have any legal knowledge but I'm pretty sure it is the total value of the order/package, which includes shipping charges, that the VAT and other charges are calculated on. Cheers Richard
  2. Pete did you disclose how much the copy you auctioned a while back went for please? I had a quick look but couldn't find it - thought you had Cheers Richard
  3. Definitely think the "relax" advice from Rod is spot on I also think some issues could be worthy of being able to leave feedback on - even if no transaction has taken place. One example would be holding a record for someone with a promise to pay - so the deal is effectively done and the record is held in good faith - but then they fail to honour the arrangement and don't take the record. That is pretty poor and I think should be considered for negative feedback. Not happened to me more than once or twice, but it is annoying and can result in other possible buyers being lost. Just a thought Cheers Richard
  4. Come on - that is not b*llocks Pete - it's proper, proper knowledge about a stupidly rare 45 and the distinguishing marks between two different copies. It's a level of knowledge and vinyl expertise that many people could only wish for. Plus, he has the record as well If you were on the receiving end of such a comment I don't reckon you would be too impressed. Looks like you're actually having a pop at my friend Tee - rather than Mr Manship - as it seems she may have crafted the blurb from her post above. I'm sure a polite retraction will put you back on her Christmas card list Richard
  5. Nice That is a great write up. Mr Manship does it again Cheers Richard

  8. Here's a link to the show tonight that Ady kindly posted up on Mixcloud. Thanks again to Ady for letting me spin a few tunes and thanks to the boss Dean Anderson for letting us loose in the studio on a TNT Soul Show night We had a good laugh - and I hope it was worth a listen https://www.mixcloud.com/adriancrampton7/tnt-soul-show-on-radio-newark-14-7-10/ Cheers Richard
  9. It's the TNT 2 Soul Show tonight on Radio Newark - 7-9PM Ady Crampton is covering for Dean Anderson who is having a well-deserved night off tonight. I'm going to be joining Ady in the studio to give him a hand and to spin a few sounds. Listen in here: https://www.radionewark.co.uk/ or using the TuneIn app on your smart phones. Should be a good laugh Cheers Richard
  10. Rev Columbus Mann LP on Wingate Seems relevant Cheers Richard
  11. Doesn't sound great. Do you mean a group of DJ's playing from a small list of records and several of them playing what has already been played? Can you name a few of the fifty that were repeated please? Cheers Richard
  12. It's supposed to be entertaining FFS I enjoyed it. I especially liked listening to some of those Motown classics I never listen to that are actually phenominal records, like Stevie Wonder - Uptight, Martha & Vandellas - Jimmy Mack, Edwin Starr - War, and Smokey & Miracles - Tears of A Clown. Surprised Jimmy Ruffin was at #2. Great programme and I'm sure lots of people enjoyed it. Cheers Richard
  13. I dropped him a polite message with details of the original v boots. The listing is now amended and correctly describes it as not original.
  14. To be honest I reckon that how many John has had (and he has tracked his stock/sales on a fab database in detail over many years as we know), or Pat has had, or Tim has had, or Pete has had, plus Popsike etc is a pretty good measure of how rare this record is. Top auction sellers don't get everything of course, but they do get plenty of top drawer rarest of the rare sounds. This is as decent data as we are likely to get in our field - facts and figures - albeit that some of the data are rough and ready it still means something Rare soul sellers are very different aren't they. I reckon for an undeniably rare record like this these days, the fact that John hasn't had one for 14 years and Pat presumably says he has never had one etc says pretty much that this is sh*t rare, sh*t rare ... When did you have your copy Pete please? Any info if you can recall would be useful. I reckon it's a genuinely fair price - could have been higher by the sounds of it too. After all, what's the price going to be when the next one comes along? From the pics it looked truly beautiful. Cheers Richard
  15. Surely the whole thing would need to start with a claim from the "original owner" that the item had been stolen, and also with the "original owner" proving it was their property in the first place - otherwise there would be no charge to answer? Cheers Richard
  16. Just continuing that tradition then, and to show my true Britishness ... Has anyone actually had this record in their hand, seen it, felt it , smelt it What I mean is, has anyone recognised as a true authority in this wonderful field of ours seen the actual record and verified that it is genuine and commented on its provenance? Or, has everyone just seen the photos? There's been a lot of media, Facebook, Soulsource banter - but who has actually verified that the copy of the record shown in the pictures is a real record and genuine? I don't believe it until someone I trust as a true expert has verified it and told me why they think it's a goodun Tin hat time Cheers Richard
  17. Looking for an issue of Eddie Parker - Body Chains (Prodigal) please. Must be top condition. Got a demo already thanks. Cheers Richard
  18. Please replace sold prices as per site guidelines Ta Richard
  19. What's the story on this please. I'm sure I have seen this before - or have I? Cheers Richard
  20. Approximately £10.00. Depends mainly on how you packed it, weight, whether you want tracking/signed for and the value for compensation. Check it out here - it's always accurate when you get to the post office if the weight is correct: https://www.royalmail.com/price-finder Cheers Richard
  21. What a corker Always thought this was a "Detroit-related" category of record. Sounds totally Detroit to my ears. Some of the credits are Detroit-related. I have an issue and a WDJ and I noticed the demo says " A James Brown Production" (presumably just marketing ). Anyone know the story behind all this please? Was it recorded in Detroit, if so where, if not any other decent gen? Cheers Richard
