  1. I bagged a uk demo (below) when ITV sold it's library stock a few years ago and there definitely wasn't an issue there.... Rich
  2. Hi Gary, have PMd you re Ernie Johnson. Thanks, Rich
  3. They're both actually still on Ebay Marc. They've been there for months. Both are on Buy It Nows for £2k (issue) and £1,707 (demo)! R
  4. I'm sure I bought it on a 12" at the same time (mid 90s). Not home for a couple of days but will have a nose then and report back... Rich
  5. It has my man. Get your backside to our night in Leeds on Fri 26th Feb - Mr Cato is our guest and I'm going to drag Jamie out. Crash over my friend. Pretty sure Tony and Janet Jackson are coming over from Manc as well, to name but a few, so it will be a good 'un... Rich
  6. Correct young Franklin, but it would have also have had contemporary releases in other territories at the same time e.g my copy of the LP is on UK London (incidentally, Ray Barretto "Acid" LP was also issued on UK London, as was Ralph Robles "Taking Over" which I've also got. I've got the single "Riot" on black Peruvian Fania. I don't know about the one in this thread, but it could be a contemporary south american release or a later reissue. Not much help I know! Rich
  7. Hi Zack, Have PM'd you... R
  8. Buzz me Monday Paul and we'll hatch a plan..
  9. Sorry, on mobile and won't let me add/edit. I'd just add that Carolyn is truly brilliant and inspirational. Happy to have word if you want. Rich
  10. Paul, I offered you legal help on this 6 months ago. You said you'd send all the papers over. You never bothered. I, like you, am in the tv/stage/drama industry. If you commission a writer to write a script for you, you take a full assignment of copyright and all other rights providing you paid a fair price for the script. You've been around long enough to know that. You can't blame Mick or anyone if you didn't do that. If he's got the rights he can do what he want and if you didn't pay him properly in the first place to take all the rights then that was your call - nobody else's. Lime are a great production company headed up by Carolyn Reynolds who I worked with for 6 years at ITV before she was poached.
  11. That's the one Chalky, nice one! Price? Will post up the track listing when back home next week. Others on it included Shirley Edwards, Hayes Cotton (Claire) etc. Ace tape even if it'd been put together today! Rich
  12. This thread has amused me as I've just started transferring all my old tapes onto my pc. One of them was a Gary Spencer tape from 92ish that had this covered up ( I didn't know the real artist) as well as Athens Rogues, Bill Bush and Junior McCants and others all covered up. Will post up when back next week as I still don't know all of them! Soul Brothers Six c/up was one I remember "Baby's Comin' Home" - any ideas?! Rich
  13. Well done again Pete, good to see everyone on here pulling together after some unsavoury spats in 2009!!! Good effort sir. PM me about the other thing we were discussing. Happy New Year one and all for later on!! Rich
  14. As Joe says, not a rare record. Got mine off Tim Brown's "front page focus" early 90s for £6 if memory serves me right. He had loads of them. Bought it for the beat ballad flip originally. Amazed at the recent price hike but when they go, they go! Rich
  15. I bought the Ivorys off that list!! Still got it. Mick always did proce very fairly/competitively and when I was a teen I used to buy 75% of my tunes from him. Happy days! Rich
  16. Unfortunately Steve I'm so busy at work these days that it leaves me little time to dig out the Ebay bargains. Picked this one up off Ebay for $50 as he'd listed the flipside. I actually felt a bit guilty so sent him $100 and he threw in a Barbara McNair (again wrong side listed) Get yourselves down to That Driving Beat at Wardrobe in Leeds (special guest Karl Heard)on Friday 27th November and you'll hear this and similar sounds (shameless plug!) Rich
  17. Quality stuff! Garland was definitely there as I got him to autograpgh my copy of Girl I Love You/40 Days & Night (Revue). How did you miss him? He had a cream or white suit on and when off stage was also into his cowboy hats!! Rich
  18. Quality Mike. I've got a picture with him in the very same outfit. The '91 Great Yarmouth weekender with Ray Pollard, Garland Green and Lorraine Chandler. What a lineup!! Rich
  19. Mark Speakman from north wales (funky feet on here) has a Wand copy. Mark, get a scan up you show off! Mine's the large block one of the three. Got it off Mick Smith's list in late 80's/early 90s for £40 which was about right at the time. Rich
  20. All the court fees etc to process the claim would be included in the judgment (they have no defence given you paid them the ticket money and they've now not put on the event) so you wouldn't be out of pocket at all UNLESS they couldn't pay the judgment after you had attempted enforcement proceedings (if required). Providing they are not already declared bankrupt there are numerous ways to enforce judgments e.g Attachment to Earnings Orders (where their employer(s) would be legally required to pay you X amount per month until the judgment was satisfied etc). At least that way you would have a sense of justice that they were going to pay for what they've done and it would affect them. Maybe 2 or 3 of you could club together to share the initial cost?Rich
  21. This whole thing and lack of information/contact is nothing short of disgraceful. I can't believe people still haven't been refunded. If it had happened to me I would issue legal proceedings via moneyclaim online (www.moneyclaim.gov.uk)as I said earlier in the thread. It's simple to do and I bet it would get them moving as they wouldn't want County Court judgments against them which would ruin their credit profile/rating.. Good luck all. Rich
  22. Speak to Chris Anderton on here - he knows a man who can!! Rich
  23. It's quality! I was out with Corrina in Ronnie Scott's last night as our pal, Paul, was DJing upstairs. They've just finished a UK tour which went really well (and an appearance on Craig Charles' BBC radio show). The gig in Leeds at Hi-Fi on the Sunday night was rammed with about 250 people crammed in. Look out for it peeps. Rich
