Ebay Help Needed! Items For Sale Not Shown
Rich Buckley replied to Benji's topic in All About the SOUL
Benji, check out the "Where have all the ebay records gone" in All About The Soul. I'm sure it'll be linked to that. I'd get in touch with Ebay if I were you. Good luck. Rich -
Ok, i know it's probably a long shot but if you don't ask.... PM me with condition and price if you have one for sale/trade. Cheers Rich

We're in Florence for a few days at the end of 2 weeks holiday in Italy and wondered whether anyone knows of any good vinyl stores here? An online search hasn't thrown much up. Also any good nightlife spots. I have to say, the food here is awesome! Not so good is the Italian habit of parking approx 1mm to the car in front/behind after a gentle shunt!! Thankfully we returned the hire car yesterday without any charges - I think it's just an accepted part of Italian motoring! Cheers, Rich

I remember it on Rob Wigley's "La Beat" list as an auction item in the late 80s when I was a teenager! Pretty sure from memory the Four Tracks was another auction item on the same list. Where's Rob?! I picked up YCMI recently on that weird italian EP on the same label as the italian 7". Several tracks each side, presumably a sort of label sampler. Think Pete Smith's had one through his hands... The law's clear Ian: under uk law the photographer owns the copyright in the photograps unless commissioned and paid by a third party who would usually insist on a full assignment of copyright. The problems you're citing are in relation to using artwork/photos taken by a third party. When you include archive clips in TV programmes you are always obliged to sign a contract warranting you will be responsible for and pay for "any and all clearances". This usually means anybody appearing in the clip. The problems are exascerbated as often an artist or actor will have a contractual right in his/her contract to approve (and be paid) any use of clips/images. Ditto there are similar provisions in the union agreements i.e the Equity and Writers Guild agreements in terms of television. It sounds like you've been unlucky if the photos were agency cleared. Must be bloody annoying. Here we're not talking about actors/artists though so it's just as described above. People have always taken photos on the scene and I have no issue with it, although as said previously if people do object then they are within their rights to ask for them to be deleted. No big deal surely. The Olympics has been a nightmare in terms of the Locog legislation so I share your pain in that regard... Rich

Spot on Russell. It's the same when we're filming for TV. If we're filming in a club we'll usually put a board up at the entrance making clear we're filming and asking joe public to inform us if they object. If they do object we'll not include any footage of them. You don't need to ask everybody individually or get them to personally sign a release although we always would if we interviewed them etc. That being said, Bill sounds like he has the correct approach and I'm with Alison, keep snapping! Circa '87 as a young mod I bagged it on the Joker boot. There have been a few threads about this on here (link Chalky?) last I heard this was residing in an old mod mate's collection - 'Dirty' Dom Bassett. Very dear friend and all round good guy although lost touch. If anyone has contact details please pm me. I could tell you a few stories.... Rich

So sorry to hear this guys. The quality of the music was second to none; you guys kept unearthing gems from everywhere and each time you went there would be tunes you didn't know - it was a musical journey! More than that, getting to know you all over the years I'm proud to call you firm friends and there were so many laughs along the way in that iconic little venue. So hats off to you all and long live the Greatstone! Wonderful memories. As has been said, when one door closes another one opens so bang your heads together and get your thinking caps on as to where you go next. Too much wonderful music to sit on your dusty shelves. Besides, Jackson owes me a pint and a Woodbine..... Rich

That's really sad news Ady and such a shame he never managed to get across the pond to see how much he was revered over here. When me and my mob were mods in the late 80s and regularly hitting the 100 Club and some of the better mod nights and this was the era of beat ballads let's not forget,"Quicksand" was truly massive to us. His is such a great story that needs telling again and it's been great to discover the rest of his repertoire over the years. Can someone post a link to his story? RIP Kell. Rich

Bought this when I was in Melbourne from Chris Gill's fabulous record shop called Northside. He kindly told me they were playing live the next night so we went to see them. Have to say they were superb live too. Ozzy soul!! Rich

I've got this on Candian Tamla. They're all the same cut. Also got a copy of the licensing agreement to Canada or the performer's agreement with Motown (can't recall which from memory). Will dig out and post some scans later... Rich

All very well priced, should fly out! Rich

My good mate Brett Franklin bagged one of these. Will ask him for you Boba... Rich

Good luck sir, it is many a year since I came to your stall in Manc as a teenager and kissed goodbye to my wage packet! I do remember Mick Smith ringing up and pilfering the goodies every time you or Dave sent an assignment of 45s back! Happy days! Rich

Which Northern Track You Dislike The Most
Rich Buckley replied to MrsWoodsrules's topic in All About the SOUL
Barbara Redd - I'll Be All Alone. Utter clip clop dog turd. She'll very certainly be on her own with that toilet performance. Even just writing this is bringing me out in a cold sweat. Dreadful dreadful record. Rich
