  4. It's from the Shaft In Africa soundtrack album - one of the best album covers of all time , I'll try and post a pic later. Some wacky instrumentals on it including the Shaft In Africa theme tune which was (is??) big on the jazz/funk scene - quality instrumental. Dan Collins will love this type of sound.. Rich
  5. Gogse, There's one for sale on this site from "Sunnysoul" in the Sales section..... Cheers, Rich
  6. Hi Sean, I don't think that's quite enough, given there are several bidders on it pledging a lot of money and other potential bidders before it ends. I think you fall down by calling it a a Bell Sound studio test pressing after the title (and elswehere) - that's just not true mate, it's a total bootleg/fake and calling it anything else is being totally disingenuous. In my opinion you should pull it and label it properly, otherwise you're duping people. There were a lot of angry people on here when that American seller did similar with the description of the UK Shrine releases/re-issues, which were similarly mis-leading. I'm afraid this is exactly the same as it currently stands. Here's the item and description for those who haven't seen it: https://cgi.ebay.com/Rare-Northern-Soul-Mot...1QQcmdZViewItem Rich
  7. This is ridiculous! Sean, despite your description, to unsuspecting mugs by you calling it a Bell Sound Studio test pressing (several times) you're misleading the less clued up into thinking it is some sort of original studio test pressing. It's not. It's a total bootleg of a bell sound acetate that never existed. As has been pointed out on this thread, it's a total fake. Some mug is now unsuspectingly paying approx £230 for a total bootleg. If you've got any integrity I really think you should pull the auction and re-label (no pun intended) the description as "bootleg", otherwise you're duping the less well informed to make a quick buck and £230 for a clear fake is not on in anyone's book. Rich.
  8. Here's the original advert from the 60s, keep meaning to get it framed, but never quite get round to it....
  9. Here's the original advert from the 60s, jeep meaning to get it framed, but never quite get round to it....
  10. This was an unreleased Motown recording, that Bell Sound is well fake! Rich
  11. Hi, I too am flummoxed as to why the said "specialist" has been chosen - normally the court would appoint an expert that both parties agreed upon out of a list of a few names. Has Smudge's lawyers agreed to this particular expert??? Paul, PM re that sales list. There were no prices on the list, it was an "offers" list, although I do have the guy's contact details. He's been on here off and on too. Rich
  12. Hi Rich, Are you thinking of Gladys on O Gee, of "Love" fame on same label?? Rich
  13. Blink and you missed it!!! Hey ho, at least we got a mention! See some of you tomorrow (unless you go to the sound of Music thingy instead ) Rich

  23. In readiness for our re-launch at the new venue tomorrow night at Northern Light in Leeds (see link below) we've managed to get on the Yorkshire TV Calendar News tonight (ITV1 for those in the Yorkshire region), in the What's On section. There will be details of the night plus old archive footage of soulies dancing etc. Have a nose! It will be on halfway through the programme - 6.15ish onwards. If you're not in the Yorkshire area but you have Sky, you can catch it on the ITV Yorkshire channel (sorry I don't know the number of the channel on the Sky box - can anyone help?). << Soulsville >> See you Friday!! Rich
