  1. I remember late 80s Rob Wigley finding 3 of these. Him and Rob kept a copy each and the third went on their La Beat Records list for £40. I rang up as soon as received the list, but he'd already had a shed load of calls - agghh! Rich
  2. Wrong on every level Stuart. Manion was always a Turnmills man Rich
  3. 10 mins folks - aagghh!!! Have tried to download that jet audio thingy but failed miserably Oh well, will see if I can record to tape.... Jamie, seasonally I think it'll work...
  4. Hi folks, Me and Jamie are on BBC Radio Leeds tomorrow (Thursday 20th) on James Addyman's show "Down In The Grooves". The show runs from 7pm-10pm on 92.4FM if you live locally, or you can get it over the internet (see link below - click on listen live). We'll be on in the last hour (9-10) playing a few records each and chatting about Soulsville and the move to the new venue. James is a top bloke who's been to Soulsville and the show plays the best tracks in rhythm 'n' blues, club soul, mod, funk, psychedelia, soundtracks, Northern Soul, dancefloor jazz, Hammond grooves and all points in between. Obviously we're playing northern, but the whole show is definitely worth a listen every week and he has some great guests on (us two drunken fools excepted!). Jamie has submitted an article for the "News" section on here, but I know with the server switch and changes to the site, everyone's really busy. Anyhow, tune in if you get the chance <Down In The Grooves> Rich and Jamie
  5. Yep Mark, that's what I use. I get mine from Bags Unlimited in the U.S - they're the green medium weight paper (almost like very thin card) sleeves that do not rip (like the paper sleeves) when you're taking them in and out of the cardboard sleeves. Click on the link below and select the 7" Antique GREEN "Old Style" paper sleeves and you're there Rich https://www.bagsunlimited.com/cart/browse.asp?subcat=27
  6. Being half funny mate . For a 1 hour programme I think it was fine, as you say, difficult to fit it all in and it did touch on her later collaborations e.g with the Pet Shop Boys etc. Obviously her most successful period was the 60s which was reflected in the programme. A truly great voice and a sad loss. Rich
  7. Correct on all counts Shane Timthemod must have years of experience (and a number of BAFTAs) in the prooduction of arts programmes aimed at the general populace to be able to make such halfwitted statements Rich
