  1. Not asking you to do owt Pete, it's just crap isn't it when good people that we know are getting ripped off by a bloke who hasn't got the spine to come and give an explanation or to sort the problem out. That's all. Just frustrating. At least if Karen's prepared to email him it'll feel as if something's being done (given she booked him recently). Rich
  2. The court don't send in their own bailiffs, you have to make an application to court to enforce any judgment if the defendant hasn't coughed up within the time specified in the judgment (usually 14 or 28 days). Karen, as you had this crook DJing for you at your last Bourne For Soul bash, will you at least confirm that you'll pass on the grievances on this thread to Ian Burt directly, as presumably you have his contact details if you booked him? That's the very least you can do. Or is it a case of "Not my problem"? I'd have thought that as a regualr poster on here you'd have some empathy/solidarity with fellow Soul Source members (who we know are trustworthy) who have been conned and ripped off by one of your DJs? Well? Rich
  3. Got an Ex+ yellow copy if anyone's after one £325. PM me if interested... Rich

  7. Pretty sure Soul Bowl had one on their list this week.... Rich
  8. As a spotty youth, purchased the Del Capris in the 100 Club - Hey Little Girl on Kama Sutra, thinking it was The Construction, Hey Little Way Out Girl (which I'd heard on the Soul Supply comps) Given Grapevine put it out as the Del Capris, I guess I can be slightly forgiven!! Rich
  9. I always use Windolene. Spray directly onto record, leave it for a minute or so and then play the 45 on your turntable using an old stylus. I usually play it through twice (and usually with a slight weight (2g) on my Technics deck). Gets the stuff directly into the grooves and comes up a treat. Have had records that look and sound horrendous come up like new. Thanks to my old mate Jamie for this method. He swears by it with all his old Barry Manilow records... Rich
  10. And note that our very own Dan Collins provides some of the quotes in the article via a phone interview ! Rich

I'd hit the "Request total From Seller" icon on your ebay page to see if he/she replies. If not, use Ebay's dispute procedure. If the seller is on holiday it's a sodding long holiday !! Good luck. Rich

  13. Not sure why you're sticking up for such behaviour, but it's 2 people without any records whatsoever months after they've paid and he's acknowledged payment, crap grading for Kirsty's record (and then no reply when she complained), those that have received their records admit he took ages to send them and only did so after several reminders, Ian (from NZ) sent a record to him on trust 14 months ago and is owed £500 (if nothing else how can you possibly defend that?) and now he doesn't reply to emails and Chalky seems to recall a similar thread about the guy in relation to his previous dealings. And to top it all off, we know he's been recently posting elsewhere and logged on here, so he's clearly aware of the thread. Where's the apology, recompense and/or an explanation. I suggest you stop sticking up for people who are shafting people that are regular posters on here and whom we know are kosher. Are you some sort of rip-off apologist? If he came on here right now, apologised and agreed to pay everyone immediately then I'm sure people would accept that through gritted teeth. Anyone can have problems on the odd transaction with the odd delay here and there, but there are too many on here (even from those who have received their records). Owing £500 for 14 months without communicating (and whilst still selling records to other people) really is unacceptable and underhand. And if anyone has his e-bay ID, I'd like to take a note of it to swerve his auctions. If anyone is minded to issue legal proceedings, then let me know as I'll help you fill everything in. It really is very simple and as Martin says, can be done online now. Rich
  14. Are you taking the pish? If he's owed Ian (Trevski's mate who a lot of us know well) £500 for over 14 months and promised payment and never delivered and with several other buyers on here being ripped off then how is that a witch hunt? I'd say he's bang to rights and apparently he was logged on here at the weekend so he must be aware of the thread. Well Ian??? Being slack and delaying sending records out is one thing, actually owing someone £500 when they've given you a record on trust is something else. Rich
  15. I'm sure it will be. Every now and then these packages just take ages for no apparent reason . They do usually eventually turn up however. In all the years I've only ever had one 45 that didn't show up at all. The thing was with mine, I asked for Global Express, which can be tracked. The seller then cocked up and only did global priority which can't be tracked. I'm sure yours will be fine though... Rich
  16. Recently bought a fairly expensive item for the states and paid extra for Global Priority airmail - should have taken 3-5 days max to UK. Arrived just over 3 weeks later!!!! Other items I'd bought after that one sent normal airmail arrived within a week! The strange world of USPS Rich

Yep, me too. Seem to recall on one side of the picture sleeve the titles are in yellow and t'other side green?? Will have to dig it out... Rich
  18. I emailed him and said had cousin who lived in Geneva and he'd pay cash and collect if I won the item. He replied saying he preferred "local shipping". Would appear he does offer cash on delivery? I also asked for scans and soundclips but he didn't mention those. Will chase... Rich
  19. Hi Stu, yes, the wonderfully named Tony Troutman - What's The Use - great 70s soul! It's on the Jerri label though, not Jeree. How many Jerre/Jerri/Gerrys are there?!! So what else is on this Jeree label then? Rich
  20. Don't some of the 45s have a picture sleeve?? Or was it a different release/LP that had one? Be great if someone could post one up.... Rich
