  1. Err, why do you bother reading it then? There is enough threads on here, no? So sorry to upset you though.
  2. I really cannot believe this thread is still alive! Go and listen to some fucking music on here instead!!! Or better-post some up (err what am I doing here as well??? I'll better go back to the Gospels...amen)
  3. I would never call it "soulful house"..if it's soulful I'd say "vocal house". The film "Maestro" is worth watching. Btw there was always a big thing about "the loft" being cooler and more innovative than the "Paradise garage" .
  4. Check out www.discogs.com
  5. Kenny sure is soulful and so is for example India, I mean how amazing is her voice! https://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=LtJPSqFFsT0&...feature=related and here plus Michael Watford. Its a massive vocal house tune. pure SOUL!!! https://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=FMjGuHuP210&...feature=related
  6. Not too keen..Kenny Lattimore-Days like this anyone?? https://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=M0WxbLhsZ8g
  7. There is the criteria "Gospel House". Mass Order-Lift every voice is the most popular one I'd say.
  8. Linda Jones is a great choice. I always loved her tune with the whatnauts-i'm so glad I found you.
  9. Does it really matter what people outside of the scene think of the scene??? I mean if your nan thinks now Northern Soul is a load of rubbish do you really give a damn?
  10. Oh rubbish can't get this channel. I like Melba Moore. Love's comin' at ya is brilliant.
  11. Seems like yesterdays news boys..it's gonna be forgotten very soon (and will only appear in one or the other nightmare )
  12. Yeah, Someday is a classic. I don't know if people still use the word Garage as since a while this horrible UK music is called Garage. We say Deep House...Arnold Jarvis is pretty good as well , Robert Owens and Alexander Hope.
  13. Just "good"?? Hmm..(My favorite is Michael Watford though )
  14. This tune is brilliant too https://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUotzNOlPKg&...feature=related
  15. The more I hear it the more I like it some tunes still make me laugh though..they are kinda..over the top.
  16. https://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=YA3OjgeWV2M&...feature=related Peace my dear Soul brothers and Soul sisters
  17. Liam said to me he doesn't give a damn what people on here say..Surprisingly he isn't even embarrassed ,or maybe doesn't admit it, haha. That stupid TV show is not really a reason to get nasty and personal, is it? ( although I felt a little sick, cheers guys)
  18. phew.. in no particular order: Chaka Khan-I know you I live you Chaka khan-Clouds Herbie Hancock-Stars in your eyes D-Train-You're the one for me Esther Williams-Pleasure Brainstorm-Hot for you Womack & Womack - Baby I'm scared of you Logg-You've got that something Black Ivory-Mainline Keni Burke-Risin' to the top Tata Vega-Give it up for love Skyy-Call me Bas Noir-I'm glad you came to me Black Rascals-Keepin' my mind and lots more...
  19. Just watched it..Shocking and embarrassing..I don't belong to the Northern Scene , I just love the music and I have to say I don't understand why those people agreed to take part in this travesty show???EH???? Especially Liam and his mates, I thought they were cooler than that..I thought it's all about the music and dancing and not about show and media...Liam, next time I'll see ya pardon me laughing for half an hour first.. sorry..
  20. Damn, missed it! Did Liam wear his Ashford & Simpson jacket??? Did you Liam? Where are the people from the show anyway? Hiding in deep holes somewhere in the woods?
  21. Hmmm but that has just a slight Latin touch I'd say.
  22. This is really hard! For me it's Soul Bros Inc-"Pyramid" or The Fantastic Four-"Live up to what she thinks" ..I guess..Today anyway .......oh no, or is it Harry Starr -"Step into my world"..Can't decide. Hmm but maybe that answers more the question of my favorite tunes.. Maybe favorite Artist who released lots and never failed to impress is good ol' Marvin Gaye and for me his best tune is "baby don't you do it".
  23. Yeah yeah, you've won.. is there a different version of this tune? I seem to think so.
