  2. Yes it definately came out on Scepter, a dark blue label with the vocal and instrumental on it, I'm not sure about it being a re-issue but I suppose it must have been if Roadshow was the original. Regards Alan
  3. Am I miss something here Pete, it seems to be £5.99 with one bid, !!!!!!! where does $500 buy it now come into it ? great tune though isn't it. Regards Alan
  4. Hi Al, PM'd you. Regards Alan
  5. Hey up Russ how are you sir, looking forward to the Hitsville Weekender in Mojocar, Spain. Who will be the first to play Annabelle Fox ????? Regards Alan
  6. Absolute Top draw sound, got mine about 15 years ago for £250 & I would give a current value of £400+ but if John has one at £350 then I would say it's a good deal. As far them being demo's well I'm not sure, yes all the copies seem to be white but they have no reference whatsoever to be being a demo, the issues of other tracks on Satin are main a light green but I have also seen a turquoise issue of Annabelle Fox's other release "Gettin through to you" which in itself is another great sound and only a tenner. Good luck in your hunt for a copy as it is very rare. Regards Alan
  7. £60 each if anyone's interested. PM me if you want one... Best, Ian D
  8. Hi, I have always liked Boz Scaggs especially his Silk Degree set which I think was his first, some absolutely top sounds on that including if I remember righty 'Lowdown', didn't he have something to do with Carly Simon's 'We're all alone' again another terrific record, not sure about a track being played on the modden scene but it wouldn't surprise me. Regards Alan
  9. Same here Steve I just paid the same I also ordered a new dvd copy of swons to replace my vhs copy, the dvd copy is only £26 on Amazon, looking forward to watching it, especially my faves which are Bobby Hebb "you want to change me", The Gems "I'll be there", Jay & The Techniques "Are you ready for this" and Little Ann "Who are you trying fool". Regards Alan
  10. Yes I really like too Jayne, but doesn't it just bug you when you hear a backing track of a really big classic northern sound with different lyrics that completely throws you off course as to what the original is. Anyone ?????????????? please put me out of my misery. Just about to press send and it came to me it's Alexander Patten 'A lil lovin sometimes' Regards Alan
  11. I will have a look at it and maybe give it a go. cheers Regards Alan
  12. Strange World of Northern Soul which was originally a set of videos charting over a hundred artist recording there classic tunes they were known from, I believe the whole thing has been revamped and put on DVD. Ian will confirm. Regards Alan
  13. I think it's October we are definately coming to the Greatstone as our Joanne is kicking us out of the house so she can have a birthday party so regardsless of how I feel we are out somewhere that night. Regards Alan

  15. Hi Mark, Yes it was,the 1st Spoofers where I introduced Ian to Bull 'Bygones' and also the same night Bettye Jean Plummer 'How can we save it' and also Pat and The Blenders 'Just Because'. Regards Alan
  16. Hi Mark, Nice to hear from you mate, you would have enjoyed Spoofers, the music was awesome of like I've already said we met some great peeps there, anyway things seem to be improving a bit for me so I am hoping to get out and about a bit more and we are hoping to get to both the 3 Greyhounds and The Greatstone in the next month or so, infact Tony told me to let you guys know when I felt I was up to playing a set at The Greatstone anyway I reckon I'm up to it now so if you could have a chat with the others about getting me a date I would appreciate it. Regards Alan
  17. Hey up Dave your right it is a long time since Spoofers but what a great venue as a Rocket warm up plus lots of solid friendships made there. It will be great to the 3 Amigo's together again in sunny Spain spinning some great tunes. Regards Alan (amigo 1)

  19. Howard how goes it mate, are you off to Spain for the Hitsville Weekender with Amigo 2. Regards Alan (Amigo 1)
  20. Hi, I think £15 is an excellent price for quality tune such as this is, I've had my copy for some 15 years now and I paid £50 which was the going rate at the time, like I say it's a brilliant track and from what I remember the group line up boasted northern soul heroes such as Brice Coefield (Omen), Chester Pipkin, Don Trotter (Utopia) and Billy Storm (HBR & Infinity) amonst others. Regards Alan
  21. Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what album is this from Joan, one of best things I have heard for ages, Levi's voice is just awesome, thanks for posting it. Regards Alan
