Me, Denise, Ken and Garv coming back from Wilton after a heavy nite, we'd got to the bit in the car where we were all sat quietly monging out of the window. Drove past this car on the hard shoulder, with two people getting a rolled up carpet out of the boot!!! We all looked at each other wondering if we had all seen the same thing. It got us all sat up and chatting again. I still wonder to this day if there was a body inside...

If you don't make enough money tough, you book the DJ, you pay them. Where else would you book someone to do a job, then not pay them...bloody cheek I say. So what was the question???...

We always used to stick a penny (or 2p if it was really bad) on the top of the stylus with blue tac but then that was when records cost about £5. God knows if I'd attempt it now. Plus the equipment is a lot more expensive too. Good equipment should be able to alter the weight of the needle, so that may help.

It was difficult enough to get to in a car...mad winding country roads...no A14 in them days!!! The first time we went to the St Ivo centre we were convinced we were in the wrong place. The road coming up to the car park was thru a housing estate! We'd been along to some dodgy venues in the 80's and thought we were up for another. What a pleasant suprize when we reached the car park and the whole night just got better & better... Well worth the crap drive. Steve...so undertook Kamikase runs on my Honda, record box strapped to back, up and down the A1.....so that was you...

I got my copy, and signed, thanks Reg...but I'm going to resist reading it until Xmas Day. So when all the boring crap is going on around me, I can stick my head in the book and ignor them. Scrooge....
