  1. ...Is that you James? I recognise Tina and their garden but that defo ain't Fudge...
  2. Bring your box tomorrow, they'll soon sell...
  3. ...we are die hard soulies, what snow... ...
  4. Same as Ste Brazil, never really went to all-niters on my scooters, I was usually driving a van to give everyone else a lift. I'd forgotten I'd gone on mine to a Notts Palais until Jo Brock showed me a pic of me with a lovely flat hairstyle... Think I may have gone to Loughboro (Leicester anniversary) on mine too. I think for a long time, you didn't mention being into scooters too much as you weren't thought of as proper soulies (coming in on the back of a film)... Nice to see that's has changed. Maybe that's why I am more welcoming of new blood.
  5. My first scooter rally was Scarborough - Easter '82 and it fookin snowed, bloody loved it tho...
  6. I quite like it when we talk bollox...
  7. Yes, thanks Steve, you see us promoters do talk...
  8. ...You might need to re-word that statement...
  9. Thanks Helen, I was quite upset by the digs but your post makes up for it...
  10. Oh dear, you're not very well informed. I book the venue and at the moment have dates booked as far forward as 2014 to get the dates we require. Please feel free to telephone the Benn Hall and they will confirm 01788 541516. I couldn't have changed the date with so little notice. Now stop being an old misery and get a life...
  11. ... ..see you soon...
  12. ...Yes, we did book it first (in fact we were the only all-niter on in February when the date was announced). We have chatted with the organisers who were offered that date and no other. Not at all arrogant, we did try to avoid the clash but nothing could be done. Also gutted coz if they hadn't clashed, I'd have been there. Hope you enjoy wherever you go...
  13. ...I had the matching one...funny as fook... This will teach me for calling him "scarey"...
  14. ...How did I know you'd do this... ...That's why I never mentioned the music, can't please em all, all of the time...
  15. Phil Shields is the one to answer this but I do know that he lost the last venue and is looking for another. We loved it too...
  16. Wow, what a blast from the past and great memories. I always remember thinking the girls were so much better dancers than the fellas over there. And the being chased at the end was part and parcel of the whole evening... Tony ran a few venues around the brum area. Him and his brother were good enough to put us up in their flat when we were over there. He'd got a good collection of records too... It was one of his do's that I picked a copy of Lew Kirton up for £4, he then put it straight on the decks for me to dance to. Cleared the floor... ...but me and Tony loved it.
  17. I was watching it but far too pricey the way it's going... Me finks I'll just nick Phil's when he's over next...
  18. HAPPY NEW YEAR Hope you all have a great 2009...
  19. I used to think we travelled a lot until we drove to France...1,300 mile round trip... Now when we go anywhere, we just say, well it ain't as far as France... I think if Flying is included, then Phil Shields is a good candidate...on a plane most weekends to all parts of the uk...
  20. ...Bloody hell, I wish you were still promoting it then. We were the only allniter on in Feb 2009 on the allniter planner and Winsford took the same nite to run their "last ever" even tho Winsford Steve told them it clashed... I like to think most of us try and avoid clashes and do talk (defo more than used to) but sometimes it can't be helped. We have to pre-book our dates years in advance, if only we could do it yearly, it would be so much easier to change.
  21. ...we go by the bus load to loads of places, the reason we didn't get there before was because they clashed with us...
  22. I'm gutted too, the last one was the first we'd got to due to clashes and had such a great time we were determined to get along again, and with a full bus. Only 8 miles for a good night out. Is it not worth giving it a bit longer to get established, it took 3 years of running Rugby before we started to break even but defo worth it...
