I beg to differ, I have the Elgins version and it is exactly the same.
The Quails version it was taken from (available to listen to on U Tube) is different.
They'll be very welcome, we like em young...
None of our three would ever admit to liking our music but the 11 year old was singing along to Prophets - (If I Had) One Gold Piece not long ago, so I asked if he liked it.
"Of course not, I've just heard it that may times, I knew the words"...
Di, Simon, you two have had me crying laffin here.
And yes, Simon, feel yourself named and shamed.
Oooo, how exciting was that, I've never done that before...
I think them days were all a bit of a dream...If you can remember, you werent there...
Couch!!! As you're staying til the Monday, it'll be a bed for you (even if it is blow up and on the floor)...
Yes, it was Leicester, Humberstone Gate, right in the centre.
No, I missed that thread but then you have soooooooo many running, it's hard to keep up...
Bloody hell Phil, you got about didn't ya...
It was defo called Nottingham Oddfellows - short for - Nottingham Imperial Order Of Oddfellows Club & Institute - a private members club, so not sure how Ally Mayer secured an all-niter there but so glad he did.
It was the nearest all-niter to us in them days...
Still resident at Rugby All-niter.
I've got a tape from the decks at that all-niter, I'll check out the play list tomorrow and see what was on it.
Off the top of my head:
Mind & Matter - Under your spell
Harold Melvin - Prayin'
Solid Gold Revue - She's so good
Gwen McCrae - Keep the fires burning
Marlena Shaw - I just want that feeling to last
Nite Flyte - All about love
Charles Johnson - Never had a love so good
and now it's too late to remember...
Not a loyalty card but an incentive for those who come and support us early.
Its always been £2 cheaper if you come in the first hour at Rugby, £10 saved over the 5 all-niters in a year...
...You daft mare, you're the one who brings them...
We do have one extra offer, apart from a great venue, DJ's and music and that's if it's your birthday, you get in for free.
It started as a laugh and now expected but I suppose it's a nice guesture.
