  1. Glad you decided to go ahead with this Lou, it's a great idea... So many great memories are pouring into my head and for the first time since Friday morning, I'm sat with a silly grin on my face. Margie didn't swear, the poor woman having to travel with me "complaining" about other drivers...I even found myself apologising. There are not many people who could command that much respect from me... This is one of my fav photos of Margie because I knew by the smile on her face that she was doing or watching something naughty. She did tell me what it was afterwards but silly me can't remember. She had a fantastic, dry sense of humour and a hint of the devil in her... It was completely down to her that she managed to catch me off my guard "dancing" at the French weekender, Dave could never even get a photo... Thank you Margie for touching my life, I feel a better person for having met you...
  2. No worries, we'll try and get there before you go but the traffics not much fun up your way.
  3. That's strange, I just got this thread up to read it to Nick so he could rip the pi.. when he saw you... We're hoping to pop over in the morning after I've took the kids to school if that's ok with you. It's lovely and clean...

  6. Rob still does the rock climbing and canoeing and is a fit as fook... Jimmy turned up at one of our all-niters last year and hadn't aged...barsteward... Tink still lives near Rugby (Lutterworth) and drops in sometimes. Jayne is now living with a poet and being a hippy with loads of kids... Jimmy & Rob then... Rob now... Jimmy now...

  14. I've pmd Pete and now realise it might have been better that way first... It was meant to stop whispers and back up Pete but it went a bit tits up...
  15. Pete, I'm so sorry, it wasn't my intension to slate your sterling work. I just wanted to put over the fact that the more that is collected for JF, the better...please don't anyone stop now. Must go back to my english class and write it better like wot I shud do...
  16. I knew you'd clear it up Pete...
  17. Pete, I'm glad this has had the support that Johnny deserves. As everyone has mentioned, he is indeed a selfless and generous man. I think that maybe the response was even better than you'd first hoped. So chatting with a few others last nite, it came up that there had been talk of a cut going to charity. I hope I'm not speaking out of term but the little I gave didn't affect my finances in any way and I wouldn't care if Johnny got enough dosh to cover his debts and take him on a round the world trip but I would want every penny I donated to go to him as it's only a small payback for the things he's done for me...
  18. ...and some poor fecker on death row got a record... Pete, I txt Johnny, he hadn't been on here since the early hours and thought he'd like to know how much he's respected and loved on the scene. The text back was in true Fingers style...3 pages long...
  19. Pete, even if he boll..s you, he's worth every penny... He's chaufered me around the country manys a time... Even gave me the record when I pulled him up on a mistake on his CD track listing... Forgot to do it as a gift tho...
  20. The flight cases we have, you will need the lids for a snug, safe fit...
  21. It ain't just women that behave badly, many years ago, I had a carrier bag of my records smashed on the floor by a twat who realised I didn't want him anymore and that I thought more of my records than I did of him... We watched it and were making up different ways of torturing her once we'd got hold of her...
  22. And you'll find it even harder with two broken legs sonny... ... ..bet you still love my sence of humour... Now-a-days, I find Bobby Hill - to the bitter end a hard one to keep up with but still fun trying...
