  10. You know my love of this one but unfortunately the penny jar is empty at the mo. Was watching one on evil bay this week that finished at £996.36... How I wish I hadn't passed on the one Pat Brady had up for sale for £25 in the 80's...I hadn't got the cash then either...
  11. James darling, that sounds awful and I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Like you say, you still have your life and your health, so try and keep a positive outlook...
  12. Wasn't sure do do this as pm or on here but I thought it might be relevant to others... The Benn Hall is on a long road (Newbold Road) that goes right into the village, in the opposite direction from the motorway. If done via the post code, the pic is of the wrong end, near the village. Is there anyway of positioning the pushpin manually on the google map?
  13. Saw this thread and it brought back terrible memories of "that night" at Desborough when it was played, I'd brought some new people along and felt the need to apologise when I saw their faces... Awful record... I'm so glad I didn't go to your school...... But then I had to listen to whatever was in the charts at the time - David Soul being my worst memory...
  14. I've always liked maps too, maybe we were pirates in our last lives... Love this feature Mike, good for seeing who you can share lifts with on our jaunts, altho I think I'm gunna have to change the 8 seater for a coach at this rate...
  15. Hi We're travelling up Sat morning and staying for ther one night. A mate would like to join us but needs a pass. Can anyoner help please.
  16. I could never be offended at your posts Paul, they are never rude or nasty, just voicing your opinion... I know it's hard for you, being away from the scene for so long and what a lot of people would call oldies are still new to you...a perfect example of our different views.
  17. ...Debbie it jus goes to prove that we all look for something different. I hate air-con, coz it spreads nasty bugs and I always pick one up before I leave...give me sweaty, hot anyday... We'd need an allniter with about 20 rooms to keep everyone happy...
  18. This is why I love this scene so much... we are all passionate about what we love/hate... It keeps it exciting and fresh... We don't even agree to liking/disliking the same tunes at home, purely because it's personal taste... Long may it continue...
  19. Jane Wilcoxson got in touch with me yesterday (yes I know we both live in Rugby...) She's dumped the Poet and is coming to the next Rugby all-niter...god it's gunna get messy... She's asked me to pm you her contact details and wants to get hold of Colin Bonam too. Not sure if anyone can help with Colin, I know he comes down to Rugby sometimes but don't have any contact details.
  20. I take it it wasn't in English as I assumed the offence was taken because of his illiterate way of putting across his point. Do they do degrees in rudeness now... Sorry, no need for me to be bitchy. Actually Daz, I like the fact that you are obviously passionate but the nastiness leaves a bitter taste in the mouths of the "others" who are trying their best to provide a service to the punters. I love the fact that their are so many different venues out there, it also means you can choose where to go (if you don't like it, don't go)...
  21. You did apologise when the playlist spoke for itself. So now you are saying it was a different DJ, please let me know who it was and I'll post their playlist... I assumed when you apologised that you realised you were wrong in your honest opinion... Off to bed now, will catch up tomorrow. Agree with your post Mossy, I love a bit of everything and will never tire of hearing something new...just like when I was 15...loved that feeling then and still love it now
  22. I've tried to keep away from this but it's the second time you have said that you don't insult people personally. I beg to differ. You didn't bother to find out his name but still slagged off one of our DJs... Quote from you: why stick on a dj at 2am who's taste in music and general play list is as best could be described as being interesting and at worse utter rammell and the sort of stuff reserved for the "other room PS - Mike, I enjoyed the "off topic" stuff more...
  23. I know I lerked a lot before I wrote anything, then when I did write, I was terrified of the "clever ones" pulling me apart, now I just don't care if I make a prat of myself (usually do) and being female is a plus coz we're not supposed to know anything anyway... But got to agree with Simon, first port of call for me as soon as I sit at the comp...
  24. Love the flyer...
