Why were some 12" pressed at 45rpm & some pressed at 33rpm? Was there any logic behind the speed they were pressed at? Is it possible or indeed easy to look at 'unmarked 12' disc & tell just by looking at the grooves what the correct play speed is? Cheers Col.

Brilliant but overplayed. Delve into the back catalogue & you'll hear some real gems. Just the other day I came across his version of 'Chain Gang'......I was blown away by it.

It doesn't prove anything about Russ's relationship with Soussan. Russ bought the tune from Les McCutcheon a well known surrey record dealer.
