  1. Assume Cool Edit Pro is some sort of application? Col.
  2. Benny Harper - My Prayer
  3. "Instrumentals were never played at Wigan" Personally I'd like to re-write history, so that it never happened. And if enough other people join me on this personal crusade I think we can make it so. After all history is constantly evolving & is often re-written by the winners. In this case it would be rewritten by the winners of the argument. So far I've now convinced myself that the only people who really beleive that we played instrumentals at Wigan are dinosaurs. I can tell you 2 (or maybe 3) things about dinosaurs. 1. They either died or evolved. 2. They never one any arguments. Col
  4. Totally agree. "Right-Wing Soulies" - will avoid associating with people outside their sect. "Right-Wing Soulies" - will avoid meeting anybody not appropriately dressed for the evening. "Right-Wing Soulies" - would rather stay at home & brush up their knowledge of rare soul, rather than go out & have a good time listening to soul. The paradox here is that politically they tend to be bleeding heart liberals. Col.
  5. Hey thats's me! Col. Thought for the day: Just because you're paranoid it doesn't mean people aren't talking about you.
  6. Just noticed above. And since you ask: 1. Label print is 1 colour & looks like it was created with letraset. 2. Production sounds flat. Col. Both copies also turned up warped. But I didn't buy them from Soul Bros, so I'm not moaning about them. In fact I'm not even moaning.
  7. Just a small point Mark, you're starting to repeat yourself. Col
  8. That's the one! Awesome track. Cheers. Col.
  9. Terry Davies currently spinning a cracking version of Just Walk In These Shoes. Artist unknown to me, but think it may be CD only. Assuming its rare, can anybody help with an mp3 Cheers Col.
  10. I've seen your handstands And all without a safety net. Col.
  11. Ha Ha - just got it. Col.
  12. Well it made me smile. Getting back to the dancing, I used to be pretty good at the splits. Would dance classes help restore that? I'd stopped doing the splits on medical reasons, but can now see that advice may have been wrong - maybe its just a confidence problem now. Maybe dance classes would also help with my low self esteem? And stop me from saying 'whatever' when I start to get the hump with someone. I'm also keen on mastering the one handed handstand. Would dancing classes help with that or should I carry on with my zen classes on Wednesday evenings? Col.
  13. Futile yes, but quite funny due to strong opinions. We need a bit more intransigence on here sometimes.
  14. Modern dancing instructions: 1. Bob up & down on the spot. 2. Pretend you are dancing at a wedding reception. Col.
  15. And if the lights are too bright, just take 'em out & smash 'em up. Or were you just in a bad mood at Brighton? Col
  16. I reckon that big afro you had in the 70s super heated your brain & has played terrible tricks with both your memory & taste. Col.
  17. "Oh no I never!" (said in a pantomine voice) Col.
  18. Well, I can only think of one record that is worse right now & that involves a tribute to a combine harvester. Col
  19. Yep SITS. I wouldn't give a penny for it on the basis that the lyrics are trite & the record is shite. I would not have this record in my house. It epitomises all that WAS wrong with n/soul. But if you say its worth money I won't argue. You know more about record values than I do. Col.
  20. It was certainly around late 70s, but it was only ever played VERY occasionaly. My recollection is that it was despised by soulies in the late 70 for being associated with N/soul. One of the worst records ever, then & now. Its not worth anything. The guy buying it has more money than sense. Col.
  21. Are there any really good modern dancers on the scene? Col.
  22. Thanks for help. Col
  23. 100% Pure Poison - You Keep Coming Back. Price please? Think it only got released on UK EMI. But reissued recently on Soul Brother records. The Soul Brother reissue looks & plays like a press - is it? Cheers Col.
  24. Thanks for reply, Agree its certainly not his best track Its yellow with black stripes. I have it framed. Looks better than it plays Col
  25. Can you stick an mp3 up? Col.
