  1. I can relate to that too. An older signature tune for me would have been Greg Perry - It Takes Heart, which meant a lot to me when I was younger. Now its just been done to death!
  2. Something well dodgy about this track.
  3. Phone no. courtesy of Kyp Rob/Roxy Threads 0115 979 9131
  4. Still file under 'Tosh'
  5. WOW. Thats really good.
  6. Hate to disagree Dave, but its more like Jerry Springer.
  7. Afternoon Pete. Any chance of a sound file. Quite like 'Nobody's Baby' & 'Never Let Me Go' by Monique, but don't think I know 'If You Love Me'
  8. Whats your signature tune & why? Mine is currently Martha Reeves - No One There. I always play it during my set. The reason for this is that the few DJ spots I get are right at the beginning of the night & there really is no one there! Well it amuses me no end. Lyrically its got to be Bobby Womack - Home Is Where The Heart Is. That record just lifts me and takes me to another level. Col.
  9. There's a guy in the Nottingham area, trades as Roxy Threads he does the lot including custom stuff. Sorry thats all the info I have.
  10. It goes on & on & on. Just like a stuck record.
  11. Thanks Gareth, will do.
  12. Yeah I know. But he looks like my uncle Tony. Which I hasten to say is not a bad thing. Its just a bit too odd for me.
  13. Seen him twice, but won't see him again. Its just too weird. His voice doesn't fit the body. Yes I know awesome voice and all that, but it just doesn't work for me.
  14. Yes, I'd agree with that. He also played my wifes request - Chuck Cockerham, so he gets extra brownie points for that. Weird thing for me, is that since I've been back on the scene (3/4 years) I'd never heard of Mr Steele. I think he could do with a new agent, Dan.
  15. Been a bit of a buzz about this for a while. Yes, will get there early as I understand you can't prebook. What time you DJing Taffy? Col.
  16. Cheers for soundfiles! Much appreciated.
  17. Hi Mike Have stuck it up in Events now & will post in forum at w/end. regards Col. ps Mike would you be able to edit the post in events for me. Actual finishing date is 27.11.05 not 28.11.05. pps Frankfurt has one of the biggest christmas fairs in europe at this time. Not my cuppa T, but some people in our little group seem to think thats rather good.
  18. Hi Karen We're off to Frankfurt w/ender in November. pm me if you need info.. Auf Wiederschauen Col.
  19. Very impressed last week-end at Lightwater do by a guy from Northampton, who I think was called Cliff Steele. Played a couple of excellent spots in Northern & Modern rooms. Col.
  20. Off to see Bobby Patterson Sat 29 Oct at Monumental. Been advised he's likely to play "I Get My Groove From You" & "Lets Do Something Different" Both missing from my collection. Anybody have MP3s they can post (already checked soulclub.org) Cheers Col.
  21. Prestatyn is the daddy. Although Cleethorpes is (I'm informed) more intimate. You pays your money, you takes your choice. col.
  22. Thats always been my understanding of it. col.
  23. Junior Walker preferred!
  24. He got a reputation as one of Britain's leading pop culture commentators in the '90s. He has also got a reputation for jumping on band wagons.
