  1. Eddie Piller turned up at the Rimini week-ender to meet friends. As far as I'm aware he's fairly well respected amongst the modern soul fraternity (many of whom are ex-northern soul types) Think he put out the Alice Clark track - Don't You Care. Real nice bit of crossover. Col
  2. No mention of Gayle Adams then Gareth?
  3. Not heard that one Dan. But I do really like "Crazy Love" by them. Not high in soul content but good uplifting tune.
  4. Thanks, will PM you tomorrow - have a 'mid tempo' that you will hopefully like. Col. Gav, I have no real idea about modern/southern/mid tempo. To be honest the older I get the less I know about everything its a wonder I get through the day sometimes. Gotta sign off now chaps - RSG tonite
  5. How about somebody sticking up a file or two. I always associated southern soul with tranquilisers.

  8. Agreed, but maybe not that well known for this poll.

  15. In your dreams. They took a fully loaded, healthy, functioning scene & led it up a blind alley.
  16. OK I'll go for it. I suppose northern pretty much died in the 80s, so you'd have to say that Stafford was one of the larger nails in the coffin. Col.
  17. Surely that was Terry Jacques
  18. You need to widen your circle of friends
  19. Thas a bit worrying, I'm sure my copy is blue!
  20. I can tell you that the advice contained within this record is actually priceless Col.
  21. £15/20.....but I've never seen one.
  22. Bollocks! No I didn't. I dragged the tune out of i-tunes & renamed it. Thought that would suffice. Yes its "Brenton Wood-Two Time Looser"? I'm glad you liked it. That was what I hoped someone would say! It turned up with a load of other Brenton Wood tracks, that were all dreadful. Col
  23. Guess The Cheapy? Its probably quite well known, but I've only just come across it. The winner will get a certain amount of kudos & respect from his peers Col.
  24. Hi Alan, No I don't have it on vinyl, just come across it on cd. Whats it like?
