Yep. At the risk of being boring I'm adding my name to the list of people who were there. The 5th Anniv. atmosphere was like a cup final. Having said that there were good & bad nights - but the good ones are the stuff of legends......

Frank Dell actually cleared the floor at a fairly recent oldies night. I was gutted for the DJ. And also gutted that it doesn't get the recognition I think its due.

That probably owes more to a seperate rumour that has also been circulating for some time......that it is in fact a very bad record.

We should all desist in discussing rumours..... And that should start the day after dealers publish independently audited records of all their multiple copies. Which will coincide with the day hell freezes over.

You have to hear the Catalinas version though, its side splitting! Ref Casinos track, now heard it. My thoughts are fair play to them for giving it a whirl. Not my cuppa T - but then it was never meant to be for old soulies.

First heard by me a couple of years ago in a London club as played by Ms Hurley. Picked it up & played it at Lightwater. Few old mates not into the scene as such turned up & said words to the effect of "thats the only tune we knew" They actually remembered it as as a 1976 new release. Sort of did my head in a bit
