This was the real stand out sound at my first allnighter at the tender age of 15 at Vavas. I've looked in JMs bootleg guide and this is not mentioned as a demo, but seams to check out as an original short run out etc. I've had it for many years. Is it an original?,anyone know the rough value? cheers Paul

I don't know if it's been mentioned before, but I recently bought his Bootleg/re-issue guide. when it arrived it had a copy of his latest catelogue which contains a re-issue & "second pressing" section. Why the big descrepancy on many of the values between the Bootleg Guide, and the Catalogue selling price? Paul

I did post up P&Ps Stompin' version of "People That's Why" a few months ago. I did play it out once although it is only a short track. Ok it was PJ Proby off the Niki Hoekey LP on 45. Paul

I believe that the Inciters are a sort of "Northern Soul" tribute type band who play US scooter rallies etc, and are aware of the scene and are fans of the music. I don't know why they wouldn't put writers credits on the track though. Paul

I'll remember Kev from the 80s in and around Plymouth. I haven't seen him for about 15 years or so, but it is always sad to hear of anyone so young passing, but when you have spent good times with the person it is even more so. He started off in the market, then it was Russ & Richard that ran the shop. Not just pressings there, Tobi Legend £12, as was R Dean Taylor. I did verbally sling shit at Simon Soussan in there once when he was giving first plays to Paula Rousell & the "other" version of Thumb A Ride. Paul

There were rumours that he covered up Mason Williams "Classical Gas" as "Morning Of The Monkey" But that is actually a great instrumental for guitar & the popcharts!!! Paul

Wasn't this the same as the Kadoo Strings? also was there a Vocal? Something in my subconcious suggest that there was, and it was the Tartans. I remember a track advertised as by the Tartans about the same time(mid 73 ish) so maybe it was just word association. Apart from that, John Rhys certainly sounds like a welsh name Paul

First time I heard it out was at a Burnley Rose Room Alldayer, this would have made it late 74/early 75. Played by Ian Levine. Therefore originally a Mecca Sound I believe. I quite like it in a quirky way. Paul
