  1. Too many prams with toys missing , grown men with no morals, no class and a lack of SOUL... Let's have the thoughts from ALL the all niter promoters, maybe then we can avoid yet another one of these threads... I guess that some will choose to stay silent ???... What about more genuine punters without bias to shed some light on this??? That could get us a better view..
  2. A very good topic for me Pete.... The thinking mans oldies is a place i like very much..... " Little gir lost " is a PERFECT PERFECT example indeed for me..... Some there i know not by title, maybe not at all??? i will have a listen indeed...
  3. Indeed Azza, yo and a few more get my drift as do a few more..... Not on about any party for Auntie Joan, the kids and family dog..... As regards to a Northern soul rule book , put your toys back in the pram and stop being a drama queen....

  6. With so many events and little room in the diary for extra events... I always plan a birthday bash around an established event... There are so many coming of age birthday events, 40/50/60/65 etc... Many of these for established people on the scene with many friends.... They will invite many people who are on the soul scene.. If they hold a big soul event on its own, then its a clash with regular events, this could and does affect established promotions... I have seen many birthday bash/ charity soul events set up that in the same area that clash with a local event, the birthday bash/ charity event invites most of the people from the established event... Then you have two events chasing the same punters and people falling out over it...... This is happening more and more and some thought needs to go into it or we will have the problem come up again and again.... " oh its only a birthday or charity event ", maybe it is but its northern soul event too, just like the one round the corner or in the same area, it does and will always get some folks backs up.... Adding a birthday bash/ charity event to established event/ maybe a second room or longer event ( all dayer ), its a win win and big fest, ha ha.... Just a thought... Peace x
  7. Can anyone give us feedback on this event, always interested to know what's " going down" in my own City...
  8. I ask the same question as Dave Moore... Let any person give us a prod, always looking for that little something else.. In a message if they don't want to post on here... The poster is talking young as under 20, many of the young djs above are old djs to teens... What that makes the rest of us I dread to think ha ha...
  9. Early folk.. 60s beat... Jazz.. Jamaican music up to around 1980.... Indie..
  10. Not heard June Adams in many moons.. What a choice..... I am happy with these 3 a and many other choices... Finish at 7.51, ha ha.. Just go home and leave us be to dream.... So many to choose from... My 3 for now... Jerry Williams.... Run Run Road Runner... Jerry Butler.... Aware of Love... Ann Peebles.. Tear your playhouse down..... Nice topic away from the doooooooooooooom and gloom...... x
  11. This is where it started for many of us i guess.. At home in the living on the carpet.... The original way.... On second thoughts, this could have the dance teachers mobile and doing home visits .... Or maybe they already do????
  12. The gates of hell are open and the northern soul circus is gearing up for high season....
  13. I think Simsy as just come from behind the curtain, thats were he lurks i hear.... I would be interested to know about any folk who have taken these lessons.... Maybe its fun for some and helps a lot..... In this world or war/ famine/ death its quite harmless i guess.... But yes, naff all the same....
  14. What a surprise ... Why put yourself through it Phil.... It aint like 1973, we have loads of channles now...
  15. Gave it a miss, washing my hair.. Some of you must be the type of folk who like to stop when they see a bad car crash too ..... I think i can live without seeing it for now......Plenty more to come i guess with the film on the way...... I bet the folk who peddle northern soul tat are getting moist...
  16. Giving your age away now scal.... Its all art and as with art we all like different things.. Some would like an underground 60s mod style while others would dance with 50 year old men in tight vests outside specsaver in a Wigan shopping centre, I know what I want, ha ha.. Things like the one show are shopping centres to me, a place I would rather avoid.. I am sure we will see the results soon enough....
  17. I stand corrected Wiggy, you do talk of others too.. Note to self.. Reply on post when read in full, only when brain is in gear
  18. So another sweeping statement from Wiggy, there are many of these so called kids, doing it in different ways, just the way we did along the way.. I know many of these so called younger folk who ain't like what you say, you maybe need to look outside your bubble....
  19. It can be a great experience indeed, done quite a few things over the years.. I always talk with them first to see that its something I think that represents it in a way I would like... Remember folk, if it goes tits up you are gonna look like a kipper for ever on YouTube etc...
  20. Plenty choice folks, whatever your poison.. Just go where you please... Some folk get so bitter, it ain't good for your blood pressure... Peace x
  21. .... A good point Russ but clarify big room all niter or I know a person who will be ready to piss on your chips....
