All this talk on different genre/ names of music styles within the scene... How many can we name... I will start it off.. I think Ady at Kent records will be on the case soon.. Great big titty shakers volume 1.... Just a thought..... I got to hear the Belgium guys for the first time a few weeks ago and had a fantastic time... djs of true true quality... IMO of course...

Would be good to have Russ on the forum and then he could answer this and many other questions that cast him in a bad light... Russ could also post me a reply to any questions brought up on here, i would post it up for sure.... If my name was attached to some of the comments thrown at Russ then i would want to try and redress the balance if possible...

Good to see some feedback Roddy... And maybe again after your non scene mate gets to see it, that view would be of interest... I guess a person from the outside won't have the same thoughts on the dance off or other aspects, they will see the film from a different angle.... A scoring of 3 is pretty low, i missed the dance off clip when it was on the trailor for a short while, that did seem to get some choice feedback.... look forward to more feedback from members...

Maybe it would have been best just to turn Winstanleys requests for 100 free Tickets and half the door take ( as said in the post yesterday ) than turn the Scottish crowd against the premiere aftershow party.... You could have had Russ play also if he could moderate his requests.... Thats called a win win..... That would have been the best course of action maybe and all the cast/ Crew/ punters share a great after show part together.. Thats just me thinking with my promoters head on.... Anyway... Back to the film.... Not long to go and look forward to feedback

No Bob Keep posting, the more that take part in the forum the better... You are new to the forum while people like Paul are old heads, he is looking at the question with his old head on and not thinking that you could not know where the question could lead.... Some topics are leading questions from certain people knowing that it will start a shit storm Paul and others thought your question was one of these... The more you take part in the forum the more you will learn as to how things are and who is who..... Maybe just take part in a topic that you start sometimes and it won't look like you have just opened the door and tossed in a grenade Cheers....

Its hard to believe this bunch can get it wrong everytime they post on the forum... Do they not learn from past experience... History could show that if the film does not really hit the spot with as many people on the soul scene,the spectacular own goals from Ipsfacto when posting on this worldwide forum really turned people against it from the start.... They would always come up against some opposition on here from some people but why cock it up so much that they alienate some who may have really been looking forward to the first ever film on a subject thats been a great part of life.. To treat the soul people of Edinburgh/ Scotland with such an underhand trick a few days before a world premiere is a sure fire way of getting off on the wrong foot..... They take advice from Mr Winstanley in how to promote the premiere ... Could not anyone tell them that it could backfire as Russ aint seen as the caring and sharing type by many...

There are alternatives to all weekenders, its not a case of support weekenders or there is no place to go, thats what your post implies... There is a difference of £15 for a full weekend, does anyone really really care??? would the difference make you choose one or the other????? letters on a postcard please...

All the time and efforf that goes into a venture like this and they keep scoring own goals on this forum... One person from the film with a name that all can reply to would really help things i should think, is there not already people attached to the film who are members on here???

Is it gonna be another epic as we have the official keep the faith party with Mr Winstanley and the un-official with Scottish djs that have nothing to do with the film it seems??? maybe the alternate oldies night would want to start a topic in events?? good way to plug your night there and keep this topic from turning into another of those tit for tat posts...

Good points Chalky... Never an easy answer and i have worked in promotions for most of my adult life, a lot it outside the rare soul scene but same things apply... You have rival promtions that come along and take you on, should we just say that the established promoters is in the right an the upstart should have some respect.. What if the upstart is offering a better product to the majority ???? do you stick with the established event through moral issues or just go to the event that you think you will like the most, with little thought to who was there first... I have had rival promotions come and go over all these years, if you and the rivals can have pow wow and try and get on, avoid clashing and hope that both events can be a winner, its a good for all.... Whe you have rivals that are selfish/ greedy/ full of ego bullshit etc etc etc, then there is gonna be a problem.. a big problem..... Let bullshit be gone?? nice thought but never an option for some folk who are out to make their own promotion be winner at all cost sometimes..

If you know when its coming out then let us all know Billy... The suspence is tooooooooo much to take for some
