    Remember it coming out on the Function at the Junction, dvd/ cd boxset around 2000, the comp was done by Simon Hunt, that was the 1st time i my mates had heard it, many others also..... A person i know played the track from the cd to Mr Wigan Himself who said " thats no good is it, its not northern soul" or words to that affect.... That comment makes me smile to this day.... An outstanding record for me....

    I will blow some smoke up your rear ADY but with the early kent albums as much more an influence than any one record.... Maybe it was regional, did the Magic touch not have a much bigger impact in the South/London??? A monster of a track indeed but i could say that about quite a few to influence our young bunch of teenage mods back then...

    Depends on the venue and crowd i guess... No preference from me really, 30 mins sets keep it fresh for us but i di like to hear a dj play an hour set and take me on a journey too..

    This shite aint around much to my eyes thank fook... I remember at Prestatyn weekenders, this tack was growing by the year like an out of control river of shite... Also popping up in more and more adverts on the net... Remember that t-shirt company who had the same name as my club night , people were contacting me for t shirts saying " i'm Mod for it", " johnsons talc, its a soul thing " :lol: .. Not sure if its around many other weekenders or soul events????/ i never see it..

    I know its been talked about before but is there a set policy for not letting members sell boots/ carvers on this site???? How many times do i see this subject come up... I am sure many of you know who the bootleggers are, if so then name them ??? many of us have no idea where these things come from...
