  1. I keep reading that it aint rare and its overpriced..How many copies are out there????I love the record but like with Joe Tex it could do with a rest and then it wll still sound special to me... Give the job to the Yorkshire spelling club...
  2. We have the Mint Lounge tonight in Manchester...Its in the events guide...8pm..free ..Northern/deep soul/crossover /RnB/funk..etc djs from the greystone soul club,Rob watson,Paul Sadot,Chris Morgan Its gonna be a weekly event and guest djs from soul source welcome, give me a bell...Hope some can support a real deal soul night in a fantastic venue.. info...stevecato64@yahoo.co.uk...07752084878
  3. You would be able to dance but that dark skin don't half show up them yellow teeth...Think about it boys and girls...
  4. Little Stevie is not black and no person on the soul scene thinks he is black..I am just a little off colour after the last weekend... Miss Ross like Michael Jackson and others are wanting to look a lighter shade, they think darker skin is not cool...I want to look like Paul Weller and not Kenny Lynch..You can't have it all can you...Is there any of you white folk on here who would like to look a little darker,Soulville,Brett,Mike H???If so it also comes with the voice.. There is an instant tanning machine under the counter at the Ducie Bridge..Tan in 2 and half mins..You too can be Ray Pollard, jerry Butler,Ainsley the chef or Trevor Mcdonald..send me you're replys and we can sort it out at the next warm up on Feb 26th...
  5. That says it all for me...I aint in a position or would want to buy all the big tunes and seek out quality lesser known tunes on original vinyl for less than £40..My mate had a choice to come to the all-niter at the weekend or save for a record he wants,he could have come out and bought a copy on stardust but thats not the way for him or a lot of others on here...Like i said i have not thouhgt about this much at all because i took it for granted that it was original vinyl..Lets see what the poll says...
  6. Good point Shane...I think there are two types of places now..Some where pressings and boots are the norm and then the rest... most folk on here want the second option....I go to many nights around the country and in Europe and to say folk don't care about original vinyl is not true at all...I just take it for granted that its original vinyl..We can't all agree on this but thats life....I think some of the folk who say it don't matter don't get around too much on the soul scene,if they did they would see that it does...Also had this conversation with some record dealers and they say it dont matter, why? because they are making more money selling issues/boots,big big money...It aint a matter of life and death but it does matter to a lot of people on this RARE SOUL SCENE...
