Just a couple of quickies.

Can't sleep as I've been wrestling with a few burning questions...

I used to have a vinyl copy of 'From A Whisper To A Scream', but it got lost in a move. I'm wanting an Esther Phillips compilation with 'Home is Where the Hatred is' as one of the tracks. It's on the above, but it's also on 'Anthology', a British recording.

Anyone know the best version/definitve album of hers, with this track on? I'd like it on c.d. I'm a pauper (cheapskate) and can't afford the original.

And another thing. Anyone know where I can get a cd copy of the Smokey version (Smokey singing) 'the hunter gets captured by the game'. I've heard The Marvellettes/Barbara McNair version, but for me this is the best by far. More upbeat. Again I had it, but that got lost in a move. F....ing Pickfords!

The label is family affair released by EMI, they were distributed by a guy in france, crazybeat had most of the UK stock in 2005 it was a limited press, I had 5 copies but sadly they were all snapped up for a tenner.

ive had it on a daily search as a whole cart load of people are after it however ive only turned up one in 9 months...try www.musicstack.com thats where i got my last one

hi ian played this at the soul celler few years back . our steve and jan nearly kicked me out. now he is playing it ha ha.

After many super glue repairs my faithful old Padders have finally bitten the dust and need replacing. They have been with me since 1990 and the padders range now all seem to have too much tread grips on the bottom.Can anyone recommend any brands and places where i can get some new ones.I have never liked hard leather soled shoes and much prefere a padder/pod type hard rubber sole with a smooth tread What do all you guys dance in and what have you found to be the best for comfort and danceability.The ones Andy Holroyd has on look good in the Central Club photos

Dunno where the hell he came from, but, HEY! He looked very similar to renowned U.S. TV detective Kojak as played with the requisite zeal by one Telly Savalas.

But John 'Kojak' Harvey booked me for an all-dayer @ The Cat's Whiskers in Meanwood, Leeds with Jnr Walker & The All-Stars, so the guy can do wrong in my eyes.

You probably won't remember me but I did the printing of the posters and stickers for the Unity Hall nighters.

I can't believe I haven't got one of either!!! So if anyone has a spare one going or can send me a photocopy of the sticker I'd be more than much obliged.

I wouldn't mind but I ran off a few of the stickers as a "govvy job" for you!

Wakey was the best venue as far as I was concerned. Still have my membership card and the copy of Backtrack 6 you flogged me for £2!!
