  2. Delude yourself that there is a full dance floor and carry on, delusion is a powerful tool !

  4. You mean people are supposed to dance to your set ?, Damn, that's where i'm going wrong
  5. For us all to show more compassion towards each other regardless of colour, religion, or nationality. We all in this together, 7 Billion of us now all trying to survive. LOVE your fellow man, there are no divisions, they only exist in the human mind.
  6. Wouldn't mind one myself if anyone else out there has one
  7. Very popular at the moment with the dancefloor, but god damn aweful track.
  8. Would it be right to consider that as a one off, or, of course now will that become the asking price ?
  9. I really don't understand this thread, what is the purpose of it ?. With the greatest respect.
  10. Yes but currently ZERO bids, and the seller has Zero feedback !, will be interested in if it sells, kind of doubt it.
  11. As i said in my previous quote, a lot of people dont like having to explain themselves, that is why if i ever write a survivors guide to life, rule #1 will be never feel you have to explain yourself, even if silence offends.
  12. Mm reading through here, there seems to be a consistent theme, not wishing to be labelled with the Northern soul tag, because it lends to wearing baggy trousers, badges etc, and having to explain oneself. So the term Rare soul is used as an alternative to Northern soul, to avoid embarrassment and awkward explanations. bit of a cop out i think. I'm proud to say i'm into Northern soul, i don't wear baggy trousers or sow on badges, but each to their own. live and let live i say. Northern soul and Rare soul are the same thing as far as i'm concerned, whether i'm at a local oldies night,or lifeline all nighter, its all Northern soul too me. KTF.
  13. Yes indeed, got into the music in 77, have dabbled in the dark sides, Modern, Crossover, R&B etc, but always come back to Northern, Real people, Real Music, still love it !
  14. If a DJ is called a DJ because he plays Discs, is a Laptop player called a Lap Jockey ? ooer !
  15. Never been to a lap top soul night, however a local pub has been advertising northern soul, last saturday of the month for a while now, so we popped in on the way to Lifeline last night, and yep, it was a lap top event, the pub was busy, and people dancing, there was a good atmosphere and everyone was enjoying themselves. Still not sure about how i feel about it, there was a definite lack of vinyl smell in the room, lol. although the smell of the fusty lounge carpet made up for it.
  16. Its all about the music, the greatest payment those artists who gave us the great sounds could have ever wished for is that nearly 50 years after they recorded them, they are still being played, what format its on doesn't matter IMHO, although i would always prefer the original. As to the original question, people vote with their feet, if there are to many venues, then some will not survive, law of the jungle. Last week i was at a banging oldies night, loved it, this week Lifeline, variety is what its all about. John
  17. Alot of people are predicting a post film invasion of Soul tourists over the next few months, however i didnt feel that there was anything in the film, however good it was, that would attract swarms onto the scene.
  18. First Golden rule !, don't wear tight trousers, cause you'll split your pants when you kick your leg up.
  19. Can't beleive they uncovered the Salvadores - Stick by me baby in the film, i've been playing that as a cover up for years.........Damn !
