  1. Very true shute......I think the late 70's was " It's day " along side many other terrible pop records that were played in the name of northern soul.......
  2. Mines on Canyon, think it cost me about £40 last year off ebay..... It's a track that sounds great played at a small venue and is popular amongst collectors, not really sure if it's too well known amongst the mainstream northern crowd.....top track though, I like it
  3. Alternativly you could purchase a flat hot plate from a Brewing shop and place the Record between the glass onto the hot plate. My dad used to have one for keeping his demijons warm......
  4. Anyone planning a last minute "Snipe" on these........
  5. TUNEROOOONEY..... Love the track, I play it myself when I get the chance.....QUALITY soul Should be around £25 - £30 if you can find one. JM
  6. I remember the late Nev Wherry used to play this one in the late 70's, I used to think it was the dogs gonads when I was young and impressionable, sounds abit out of step with current stuff played nowadays......Storming track though, I'd say £75 to £100 !!
  7. https://cgi.ebay.com/EDWARD-HAMILTON-ARABIA...1QQcmdZViewItem Just noticed a copy of Edward Hamilton...Baby don't you weep...mary Jane. The item description say's it's a rare original, however the picture is blurred and there appears to be some colouring in on the label......Looks a boot to me !!
  8. just read the reason's why it's finished, and I'm sickened.........Disgusted
  9. One of my regular searches too, never seem to find though...........
  10. Off ye go now !!, and don't you be botherin' us soul folk again....... The Gay Pirate is escorted away......
  11. Been thinking about selling my demo for a while, however everytime I think about I put it on the turntable ............then it goes straight back into the collection, great record......
  12. There's also a version by Bill Deal & The Rhondels......Infact click on this link and you can here it, plus sing along to the lyrics also.. https://www.lyricsdownload.com/bill-deal-i-...urt-lyrics.html
  13. Nice label design though, anyone know of anything else on the label.....?
  14. £25 to £40 depending on condition i'd say, demo's maybe slightly more.... Great track, one I like to play myself...... The flipside is " Lights out " which is on the 1st Dave Godin " Deep soul treasures" C.d.
  15. One nation under a groove brother........
  16. I think if I was down to my last crinlkly fiver, I'd go for George Hobson..Let it be real.
  17. If you did have a time machine and could get the records for those prices, the next obvious question is what would you do with them ? 1) Keep them.. 2) Sell them on for a small profit....say a couple of quid on top. 3) Sell them on for a huge profit.....
  18. I also like Major Harris..."Loving you is Mellow", which I know is a completly different track, but follows " Lucky Fellow " on the turntables when played out...
  19. Yes and that version as well...... I think this must be the 2nd or 3rd time " Lucky Fellow " as been discussed on here over the last few months......all in all a great track which ever version.
  20. A couple of the unissued grapevine 2000 tracks spring to mind... Dottie Pearson...Bring it over baby Teddy Pendergrass....We got love. Two Quality tracks there....... Jm
  21. BOO very loudly i should say.........
  22. And doubt the crap disco version of " Baby I need your loving " by gail somebody got played as well....
  23. Agree...... Everyone know's what Sam play's irrespective of weather he's in the modern room or the Oldies room, he'll play whatever he want's, and it's usually streets ahead of what the other jocks ae playing........As a bonus maybe he introduced one or two new tunes to the masses..
  24. I also like the Independants version, however, I still think the Maurice Jackson version as the edge........Personnal preference and all that
  25. Mmm I've never heard it, but I'm already going off it..... Eddie Kendricks......A date with rain...Tamla. Now there's a track...
