'if This Is Goodbye'...who's Voice Is This?
Too right Dave, strange isn't it, amongst hardened collectors the stafford area is held as a magical era full of great sounds. To many people though it still remains a mystery.........Buy them stafford compilations I say and enjoy.......

'if This Is Goodbye'...who's Voice Is This?
Agree Steve, Both tracks superb, sold my "End" copy a couple of years ago, still got " Goodbye" though, Harry had a great voice.......

Breakdown Of Postage Costs
Surely if like myself you buy and sell you can recycle the mailers by turning them inside out and using them again. Also what about the cost of driving to the post office, shouldn't that be taken into account ?

Is This Ethical
I'm feeling in abit of a no compromise mood today, the music was originally recorded on vinyl therefore it should only be played on vinyl, don't care about all the politics regarding moving into the 21st century and all that, Keep the music vinyl............enough said

Dj Or Collector
Maybe another stealth tax on collectors would be an idea........

Dj Or Collector
Bang on I'd say with that quote, there are a lot of collectors out there with collections second to none, however they're not to bothered about D.j'ing, I know some guy's around Derby with fantastic collections but not interseted in D.J'ing. Thing is with being a D.J, you only play 24/25 records in an hour, so why have a huge collection, better to have 100 to 200 quality dancefloor records, than boxes full of stuff that you'll never play.......Think there is a suttle difference in mentality between a D.J and a collector.

Cardboard Sleeves?
I don't like the smell of them either Karen..........

Cardboard Sleeves?
, Daves garbage more like, A shop full of rubbish, however he sold anything in that shop beats me...... It's got to be nice white card sleeves for me, with paper liners, was once told that the sleeves with polythene inners was bad for the vinyl long term......not sure about that, just think nice clean white sleeves are the biz.

Clifford Binns - You've Got To Help Me
Just found the shoe box with it in..... Vinyl is in spanking shiney condition, so might bring it to Rugby tonight and spin it, as long as Baz promises to defend me from the soul police....... As regards to my shoe storage habits Chris, obvious reply is not in a shoebox........

X-over & Y2k Soul
Spot on Jordi & Roger, Crossover & 60's sound great when played together, however start getting into the 70's stuff and my eyes glaze over, that's not to say I don't like some 70's. As regards to the Midlands, Crossover & 60's midtempo for a long time has been a Dirty word, very few venues catering for it, which is why I travel so much seeking out venues that do, Seems to be a consistant theme among Midland venues to play out and out Northern and popular 70's, not my cup of tea. As regards to shutes original post, think you need to be specific as to what music will be played at the event, If people come along expecting crossover, and get 70's & modern, maybe not be too pleased.....just a thought. John

Clifford Binns - You've Got To Help Me
Might be off the mark here, but I thought normally 70's re-issues were on styrene, think the green clifford binns is on vinyl so either legit 60's or 80's re-issue, think i've got one in a shoe box somewhere i'll have to dig it out........

Delegates of Soul on Uplook
Would be curious to know how many copies of Delegates were released, 200, 300. 500 ?, even so if the the amount of collectors searching for a copy exceeds the amount of copies in circulation, price is bound to go up, to quote a price of a record as it was 10 / 15 years ago seems a pointless excersice to me.... Doesn't matter how good or bad a record is, if demand exceeds supply price will always go up, it's a fact of life...unfortunatly.
