Vermillion is the colour spectrum, a bit of pink, orange and red to classify this excellent label selection of in demand soul 45s up for grabs tonight. Happy to provide additional images or sound files. PM any questions or to reserve. Ike (Isaiah) Porter & Fabulations – You ain’t seen nothing yet – Anla 107 Ex £700 (Very rare Lake Charles release on Eddie Shulers label catering for the hybrid east Texas and south Louisiana audience. Better known for the Charles Green release, this raw unpolished group soul 45 with a sort of lowrider flip has rarely surfaced, the few copies that have are normally beaten up. Producers name penned out on both labels and the faintest edge lift) Diplomats - Cards on the table - Arock 1000 M- £300 SOLD (The desirable red stock copy, with labels fully intact, but minor wear around small part of flip spindle hole. Find one in this condition!) Johnny Dixon - Where are you - Boss 103 Ex+ £80 SOLD (Lovely mid 60s Detroit tune, from the label stable that hosts Sport and Sir-Rah) Gladys Tyler & Ray Scott & Scottsmen - A little bitty girl - Decca 31991 Promo Ex £500 (Talented girl wrote this R&B bounder, a great track and not relay surfaced in numbers given its major label status. Minor edge lift does not affect play) Gloria Taylor - Total disaster - Mercury 73186 Ex £50 (Prolific and underrated songstress, with a stunning catalogue. This choice is a hidden gem) Carol Anderson - It shouldn’t happen to a dog / Holding on - Mid-Town 270 M- £180 (Of “Sad girl” and “Taking my mind off love” fame, this 72 Detroit from Carol brings 2 great sides together. Not often seen for sale and a bit under the radar) Irene & Scotts - I’m stuck on my baby / Why do you treat me like you do - Smash 2138 M- £200 SOLD (Boisterous double sider, drill hole) Jimmy (Soul) Clark - Sweet darlin’ - Soul Hawk 001 Ex+ £200 (Detroit class, never fails to lift a listener. Couple of sought after Detroit 45s up for grabs, neither show up regularly and both very much in the groove. Sound files on request, happy to take questions or reserve / bid, by PM please. Stewart Ames – Angelina, oh Angelina / King for a day – J&W 1000 Vg+ £1350 Ames, is Stuart Avig, lead singer of Motown’s Valadiers. He moved on in 1963 and cut this double sider for JoAnne Batton and Ed Wingate’s J&W label in 1964. Reportedly Berry Gordy Jr wanted to team up with Wingate, but wife JoAnne convinced Ed it wasn’t in his interests, leading to the formation of their own shared label, which it appears is the only release on the label. Recorded at Golden World on Glendale Ave, this epic double sider written by Popcorn Wylie and the little-known Thelma Williams was also produced by Wylie alongside Bob Hamilton, who was the unfortunate victim of a drive by shooting in Detroit in 1969. Golden World was underpinned by excellent subsidiaries in the form of the mighty Ric-Tic, prolific Maltese and short lived Volkano labels. That man Gordy wouldn’t go away though, picking up all these labels in 1968 to satisfy the needs or quench the rivalry for an expanding Motown empire, with Golden Worlds studio becoming Motown’s Studio B. This highly regarded double sider emerged in the ‘Top of the World’ era of the Northern scene, becoming massively popular at the hands of Guy Hennigan and Keb Darge. The top side ‘Angelina’ is a raucous serving with crowd participation and driving beat, the downbeat flip ‘King’ shares the same backing track as Jock Mitchells ‘No mad woman’. Detroiters loved their music, as such many of the 45s to have emerged from the Motor City show signs of use. In this instance the surface whilst glossy, does harbor some surface marks, and the labels exhibit mild ring wear, but no writing to stickers etc. Whilst those marks and the blank run in and out may produce some audible feedback, it is barely noticeable on these pounding productions. Visually a tad better than Vg+, the playback is fantastic at Ex+. Sharon McMann – Got to find myself another guy / Hello stranger 66 – Karen 803K-1525 M- OFFERS More formally known as Sharon McMahan, but it appears a typo on the credits of this rare Detroit 45 presented an alias. One of two outings for this lady on Ollie McLaughlin’s Karen imprint. Although she was a recording artist at the age of 13, she appears to have a greater talent penning lyrics, which she did on several respected northern tracks for the likes of Barbara Lewis ‘Straighten up your heart’, Deon Jackson’s stunning ‘That’s what you do to me’, Gracie Darnell ‘So long lover’, and Johnnie Mae Matthew’s exquisite ‘I have no choice’. This is one very talented lady so it’s no surprise that she’s responsible for her own vocal masterpieces on this label. Both releases are very sought after and over the 4 sides Sharon shows she’s very capable of vocal, style and tempo variation. ‘Find myself another guy’ is a sultry almost seductive mid-tempo dancer, oozing class right from the off, classic drum roll intro, a captivating wistful beat punctuated by dramatic brass fanfares. The flip ‘Hello stranger’ is a more sedate expression of sanctity. This 45 has remained rare and I guess still outstanding in many Detroit collections! Not seen for sale since about 2017 and even then, it commanded a pretty penny. Unbelievably for Detroit, its mint minus vinyl with just a hint of edge lift, which does not affect play. The labels are clean, but like every other copy I have viewed and read about, it does have some label wear on the top side spindle hole, but this is clearly due to the pressing process not mishandling. Up for offers with the minimum at £1000, I’ll let it run until Thu 16 Feb at 9pm, unless an offer I won’t refuse arrives before. PayPal by friends or add 4% please, or bank transfer. Postage: £10.65 - Special Delivery (Fully insured up to £2500) Overseas on Request Cheers, Lee

Rarer white demo, some surface marks that DNAP, so grading is visual, it plays great at Ex+) Flirtations – How can you tell me – Parrot 10028 M- £30 (Glorious double sider on a tasty label) Tobbi Bowe – I can feel him slipping away – Patheway 103 Promo Ex £575 (It appears this big production girly backed Hollywood release is a cover of the Mamie Lee, MGM track. Ignore the flip title “groovy feeling” its as far away as Soul can be from flower power, brilliant dancefloor track. Remained hard to find. Small sticker dot on either side, highlighter circle on. Some nearly inaudible pops) Bobbettes – I’ve gotta face the world / Having fun – RCA 8832 WD M- £175 (Excellent double sider, one soft the other hard nosed femme Soul. Number on flip label) Exceeded upload allowance - Image on request Peggy March – If you loved me – RCA 9494 YD M- 85 SOLD (Been around forever, so call it an anthem, one of many collectable RCAs) Exceeded upload allowance - Image on request Tawny Reed – Needle in a haystack – Red Bird 10044 WD M- £200 (Excellent cover of the Velvelettes winner on a fabulous white demo, suits the Mod scene with a classic Hammond organ break, incessant stuff. Small sticker residue on label) Jimmy & Vella Cameron – Loving you is such a groove – Reprise 0483 M- £800 (I know, I know, only ½ is Girl, but it’s the best place to put it. Frantic but organised Soul banger that ticks all the boxes. Top condition and on the rarer stock. A trio of stunners for the Lowrider crowd, and it’s not often you would find 3 slabs of vinyl as equally pleasing for Girl Group, Northern and Crossover fans. Be quick………. Sound files available on request, and happy to provide additional images if required, please PM any questions or to reserve. Lovations – (I keep singing) La la la ooh / Heaven told me so – Cap City 109 Ex £350 SOLD Hailing from Pittsburgh, these 3 little darlings provided us with a clutch of recordings that have graced turntables all over the world, growing in stature and demand over the years. Sisters Crystal and Penny Wilson, and Sherry Henderson were very likely to have learnt their trade at venues around the Hill District, better known as “Little Harlem”, due to its strong African American culture and Jazz music style. Cap City was of course a DC label, owned by Foster Johnson and distributed by the awesome Scepter group. Cardell Eaton was involved in all their recordings, and what a job he did, Cap City 113 “Later baby” a sumptuous lilting crossover number and my personal favourite. 114 “I can’t forget about you” starts slow but bounds into action on a belting sassy femme groove, not forgetting the instrumental flip which is a brassy sensation that would fill a floor. 115 “I don’t want you” another seductive Lowrider track, WOW, right up Smokey Joes La la! Then the feature piece, 109 a blinding double sider, “(I keep singing) La la la ooh”, Lowrider excellence, pure clarity on the stunning vocals, “Heaven told me so”, ripe for either Northern or x-over rooms, what a dancer. What life must have been like on “The Hill” with this sort of talent and entertainment, only those lucky enough to be there would have known……lucky beggars. Published by Three Part Music and latterly released on their Part III label, it was once assumed to be an earlier release but now appears the later, all outings appeared between 68 to 70. Even with some light scuffs, which DNAP, it plays beautifully. Deep gloss on the surface and clean labels bar a tiny drill hole. Nu-Luvs – You belong to me / Hello lover (goodbye friend) – Clock 1003 M- £650 SOLD Viewing their promotional photograph, the Nu-Luvs are reminiscent of the whole girl group image engineered by George Goldners Stuyvesant Productions Inc. which was responsible for the vast Red Bird and Blue Cat catalogue. The link of course between this group and the Red Bird cartel is George ‘Shadow’ Morton, who almost singularly produced the Shangri-Las. He was involved in the Nu-Luvs first and unsuccessful release on the Mercury label which was never followed up with any other output bar this sensational Clock label outing. This apparently unremarkable trio of girls hit the Northern scene way back in the 70s when “Hello lover” was aired for the first time. Maybe its short turntable life was hampered by rarity, and whilst still so very hard to find, it has grown immeasurably on the Lowrider scene, with the insatiable “Baby you belong to me” becoming one of the most highly sought after and treasured female sweet soul tracks around and probably still under the radar for many. Playing surface is mint minus both sides, top label has a thin discreet natural colour sticker mark, which may be possible to ease off if someone knows how. The flip label has the feintest ring wear. An all-round dreamy 45. Otisettes – In your arms I’m gonna stay / Your kiss is fading away – Jonco 52 M- £600 As Johnny Otis attempted to resume his TV career recording 13 episodes of the ‘Johnny Otis Show’ in 74 and 75, he was surrounded by a trusted inner circle, which included his in-house girl group the ‘Foxy Otisettes’ as they were once described. Every show was set in front of a live studio audience sitting at tables resembling a 50s nightclub. Artists included the likes of Bob B. Soxx & the Blue Jeans, the Coasters, Ted Taylor, Bobby Day, Joe Turner and Gene and Eunice all of whom featured on the Northern scene at some point. The ‘Otisettes’ were Stonye Figueroa and Vera Hamilton, probably better known as Ikettes in Ike and Tina Turner’s Review, and the twin sisters Alesia and Tiresia Butler. They don’t appear to have performed any of their own releases on the show but were certainly good enough to be entrusted with covers of ‘Get ready’, ‘Shake’, ‘You’re all I need’, Sweet soul music’ and ‘Heat Wave’ to name a few. They even sang with Twiggy on one particular outing and latterly toured the UK and Europe for 4 weeks, appearing as part of Johnny’s headline act at the new to me “Hastings Aquarius Club”, where 3 days earlier Mary Wells was on the bill. Who would have thought the Aquarius, described as “The Club that serves the South, swinging 7 nights a week” would have been so alive with US soul acts! Johnny was clearly held in high esteem, on his passing in 2012 condolences included “Good-bye Hawk, always be remembered by all of us who ever performed with you. You weren't just a friend you were like a dad to all the OTISETTES, I was only 18, right out of High School, the first ‘Otisette’ to start the whole group off – Stonye”; and “This is ‘Sugar’ (Alesia Butler) from the Otisettes, thanking you for giving me and my twin ‘Honey’ Tiresia Butler the opportunity of a lifetime to become members of your band, we’ll never forget all the memories that we shared as a group and all the places that we visited. The rarest of the 3 up tonight, only comes up once in blue moon. Stunning lowrider on the top side and a sultry slowie on the flip. Jonco out of LA was Johnny’s very own label, short-lived, but an ever-lasting imprint on the indie label Northern scene, and definitely from the City of Angels with these girls involved. Gorgeous copy. PayPal by friends or add 4% please, or bank transfer. A handful of tunes from the boys, some corkers here, so be quick if you’re looking for stocking fillers. Girls will follow in the boys footsteps soon, some lovely stuff to come. Happy to send sound files on request, PM to ask questions or reserve. Buster & Eddie – Can’t be still – Class 1518 M- £650 SOLD Doesn’t leave you much time to respond to the unmistakable intro and make a dash for the floor. Emphatic dancer that will never go out of fashion. Lovely rich pink original copy, in top condition. Apologies for the image, had to take this under kitchen lights rather than natural light, so its dark with reflection, can retake in sunlight (I hope) tomorrow! but I assure you its all good) George Carrow – Angel baby – Columbia 44161 WD Ex £70 (Traditional soul perfection on a fab white demo) Lee Andrews & Hearts – Never the less – Crimson 1009 Ex+ £70 SOLD (Classic group dancer on Jerry Greens impressive Philly label) Harry Deal & Galaxies – I still love you / You’re always on my mind – Eclipse 6000 Ex- £180 (Fantastic doubles sider, slight edge lift and some black pen marks on ‘Still love’ label but discreet on the same colour label) Otis Brown – Find somebody new – Lujuna 10655 Ex+ £150 (Chicago mid-tempo, how classy is this, guess the ‘Soulettes’ version was spawned from Otis’s own work) Larry Williams & Johnny Watson – I am the one / You ask for one good reason – Okeh 7280 M- £250 (Outstanding double sider, both sides brutish soul dancers, and as they say themselves, “Two for the price on one!” what more could you want and on a lovely stock copy, in the best condition I’ve ever seen on several copies I’ve had) Ray Pollard – It’s a sad thing – United Artists 50012 Ex+ £150 (Fabulous beat ballad, lovely condition, and a juicy stock copy) PayPal by friends or add 4% please, or bank transfer. Just the one major label rarity up for grabs today Happy to send sound file on request, PM to ask questions or reserve. Herman Lewis – Who’s kissing you tonight / Think twice before you walk away – Mercury 73002 M- £1100 SOLD What is it about J.J. Barnes, everything he touches, whether it be as an artist, writer, or producer turns to gold! The credits are the same if you have the local Stone Blue release or this heavyweight major label format, owning either is the challenge. The quality of “Who’s kissing” is not in debate, sheer class mid-tempo gem, and a half decent crossover “Think twice” on the flip. What’s always been debated is the identity of Lewis, which does appear to be Motown’s Herman Griffin. His connections having moved on from Detroit and Motown’s early years was to work in the company of Cincinnati producer Gordon Neal who oversaw the Prime, mostly known for the Shirtails and David Thomas outings and the Stone Blue labels. I sold a sought-after Stone Blue white demo earlier this year, privately for no kerfuffle, and I appreciate that the national may not be as desirable to completists, but it’s still one hell of a 45 and so darn scare, and half the price cheaper. Promo stamp on flip, overall in in lovely condition. PayPal by friends or add 4% please, or bank transfer. Postage: £10.65 – Special Delivery (Fully insured up to £1000) Overseas on Request ATB, Lee

Another short but great list of impressive Soul albums to go. I’ve sold what was meant to be part 3 and 4 in the background, so this would have been part 5 and taking it up a notch with the more desirable moderately priced albums. I know they’re not everyone’s cup of tea, but there are always hidden gems on every disc, several great covers or unreleased on 45. Happy to provide more images of each item on request as the site limits upload capacity. Graded Cover / Vinyl, recordings in Mono (Mo) or Stereo (St). Some are a bit dusty from storage so may need a wipe down. Message me to reserve or ask any questions. Maxine Brown – Out of sight – Epic 26395 (St) Ex+ M- £100 SOLD Rarer Canadian issue, massive Mike Terry involvement, overseeing production and arrangements on this session. There’s a wealth of top-notch tracks here, backed up by credits to Mikki Farrow, Jerry Ragovoy, Bridges-Eaton-Knight, Sam Cooke et al. Includes the glorious mid-tempo gem ‘Don’t Leave Me Baby’ credited to Jack Ashford and the super dancer ‘Just Give Me One Good Reason’ which never appeared on 45 and. Very minor wear and dh on cover. Billy Butler – Right track – Okeh 12115 (Mo) Ex- / M- £80 SOLD Take many of his most popular 45s, plonk them on a long player, and Billy’s your uncle you have 40 minutes of sheer delight on one piece of plastic. Just peek at the label scans to understand just what you’re getting. Small tear top right and usual dh on cover. Little Richard – The Explosive – Okeh 12117 (Mo) Ex+ / Ex+ £30 As the title says it’s a banger, and you’d expect nowt less from Ricardo. The title track ‘I Don’t Want to Discuss It’ is a collectors piece on 45, also includes ‘I Need Love’ and ‘Poor Dog’. Some very minor ageing on top left and dh on cover. Artistics – Get my hands on some lovin’ – Okeh 12119 WD (Mo) Ex+ / M- £150 Very hard to find LP, even more so on the white demo which is the first release of course. Chicago group soul compendium and what a representation of laid back classic mid-tempo dancers. Lovely artwork on the cover which shows just minor wear around the seam. Larry Williams & Johnny Watson – Two for the price of one – Okeh 12122 (Mo) Ex+ / M- £80 SOLD You can tell by the cover artwork you’re in for one hell of a ride, pretty much the way these 2 did their music. The non-45 track ‘Takin’ No Chances’ steals it for me, absolutely brilliant, they’ve chucked in Quitter, Too Late, Rather fight and the title track ‘Two for the price of one’ to make this one hell of an LP. Very minor wear, dh on cover Tempests – Would you believe – Smash 67098 (St) Ex / Ex £225 These Carolina boys couldn’t have earnt much doing what they did, the money had to be shared between at least 10 in the band, jeez that’s some split with manager and crew. What they did do was leave a fantastic legacy of mid-tempo dance floor winners. Another 40 minutes of joy, including ‘Would you believe’, a great cover of one of the most recorded soul tunes in history ‘Ain't no big thing’, the monster non-45 ‘Someday’ that Guy H reputedly broke to the masses and the superb ‘What you gonna do’ with the unmistakable lead vocalist laid bare. They missed a trick though, ‘Out of my life’ a big gap in the comp. Small crease bottom left, light wear and dh on cover. Edwin Starr – Soul Master – Tamla Motown 931 (St) NM / M- £40 Canadian vinyl in US Gordy cover, reason is the Canadian cover I have is signed by Edwin and the Gordy vinyl is a demo which I collect, so I have mixed and matched to keep the pairing I want most. As a result, the cover you get is in top shape. A fantastic album riddled with his Ric-Tic and Motown classics that are a fine epitaph to one of our scene’s greatest Ambassadors, and sorely missed he is. It was only the other day I heard SOS on my local commercial radio station, I hoped the populace was taking genius in! PayPal by Friends or add 4% please, or I can send bank details. Postage: £5 - 1st Class Signed for (Insured to £50 only) £9 – Special Delivery (Fully Insured) No overseas on these, sorry Cheers, Lee

ALL ON HOLD Changing tack away from 45s to let some great Soul albums go. I know they’re not everyone’s cup of tea, but there are always hidden gems on every disc, unreleased on 45. This is part two, with a handful to follow over the next few days. Happy to provide more images of each item on request as the site limits upload capacity. Graded Cover / Vinyl, recordings in Mono (Mo) or Stereo (St). Message me to reserve or ask any questions. 1) Gene Chandler – Just be true – Constellation 1423 (Mo) M-/M- £40 Another big voice serves up a mix of slowies, mid and up-tempo beat tracks. Mayfield’s involvement a given on this Chicago release, however ‘Jobete’ the music publishing affiliate to Motown is leant on with fine covers of ‘Check yourself’ and ‘You threw a lucky punch’. A more tolerable (for me) play on Duke of Earl appears, but the winner is ‘Pretty little girl’ recorded in 63, written by Eugene Dixon, changing his name to Gene Chandler after his success with ‘Duke’, and co-written by George Smith who cut his version on Laurie, both collectable 45s on the scene 2) Tyrone Davis – Turn back the hands of time – Dakar 9027 (St) M-/M- £25 Ranked by MTV as one of the best Soul LPs of its time. Not surprising given the involvement of a list of Chicago’s who’s-who, household names like Jack Daniels, Johnny Moore, Don Davis, Carl Davis, Willie Henderson…. The list goes on, oh and the classy Bab’s Acklin and Eugene Record on some backing. So classy, the title track was included in the Hugh Grant & Julianne Moore romcom “Nine Months”. My old fave from Tyrone “I’ll be right there” just superb, and I just can’t quite place the backing track on “The waiting was not in vain”, sounds familiar? Original with small customs snip on pocket side and I removed the shrink wrap 3) Larry Santos – Just a man – Evolution 2002 (St) Vg+/Ex £20 Quite the talent, Larry was not only a singer songwriter, but he also won Grammy’s for some music hits and starred in Hot Fudge, a Detroit based kid’s puppet TV show (Mrs. Doubtfire-esque – LOL. The standout track here of course is the classic ‘You got me where you want me now’ played at the Casino in halcyon days. Support acts include ‘Comin up in the world’ and ‘Subway man’. Cover has fine scars and drill hole, vinyl very slight edge lift hence grade) 4) Freda Payne – How do you say I don`t love you anymore – MGM 4370 (St) M-/M- £25 Awfully long title for an LP! Classic sultry ‘it wasn’t me guv’ pose on cover, the sort my missus gives me when I see purchase notifications flash up from online fashion retailers on my devices. One of my all time favourites given an upbeat lease of life by Freda, ‘O.C. Smiths – On easy street just brilliant, backed up well by 'Sad sad September' and other solid vocal tracks. White flecks on vinyl image just dust I didn't wipe off! 5) The Platters – Going back to Detroit – Musicor 3125 (St) Ex/Ex+ £25 Like it says on the tin, a platter of delights. A fantastic LP, with some choice tunes, the title track, is so typically in the motor city groove, the imploring ‘Why do you want to make me blue’ is a delight, ‘Run while its dark’ with a hint of latin to my ears from an obscurer LA Entree label 45 release as Platters 65, clearly recognising the incarnations of the original group from 52, the tidy ‘With this ring’ and the LP only ‘I can’t get used to sharing you’. Great artwork on cover plus a Musicor inner sleeve. Minor wear on cover. PayPal by Friends or add 4% please, or I can send bank details. Postage: £5 - 1st Class Signed for (Insured to £50 only) £9 – Special Delivery (Fully Insured) No overseas on these, sorry Cheers, Lee

Changing tack away from 45s to let some great Soul albums go. I know they’re not everyone’s cup of tea, but there are always hidden gems on every disc, unreleased on 45. This is part one, with a handful to follow each night for a week or so. Happy to provide more images of each item on request as the site limits upload capacity. Graded Cover / Vinyl, recordings in Mono (Mo) or Stereo (St). Message me to reserve or ask any questions. 1) Incredibles – Heart & Soul – Audio Arts 7000 (St) M-/M- £30 Highly respected group flying high under the flag of this prized Hollywood label. Excuse the pun, but this incredible album is evenly split with a slower A and faster B side, no duffers on A, but B hosts the dance floor fillers ‘Miss treatment’ and ‘There’s nowt else to say’, backed up marvelously by the very collectable ‘Without a word’, ‘All of a sudden’ and ‘Another Dirty Deal’…..all brilliant. I can remember peeling the shrink wrap off this one, still in top condition 2) Archie Bell & Drells – I Can’t Stop Dancing – Atlantic 8204 (St) Ex-/M- £20 Sits in the shadows of the highly collectable ‘Tighten up’ album, but in both you’ll see the connections between their Houston roots, NY and Philly phases of their career. Gamble and Huff on any credits is nothing to be sniffed at. Is it me hearing similarities between the title track and ‘Harvey Averne – Never learned to dance?’ Don’t miss the snappy covers of Major Lance’s, Mayfield penned Monkey time and Sometimes I wonder…..upbeat party atmos throughout this disc. Cover graded lower for split on top edge, otherwise Ex 3) Jackie Wilson – Whispers – Brunswick 754122 (St) Ex-/M- £30 Whilst its debatable that JW has the best voice of the soul genre, IM-humble-O he had the most versatile voice in the business, outstanding vocals on everything he cut. Where do I start, well, rather than stating the obvious, I’ll simply reinforce that the quality of tracks on this slab of plastic is outstanding, that said a special note though for the brilliant 'My heart is calling'…..spine tingling 4) Jackie Wilson – Higher & Higher – Brunswick 54130 (Mo) M-/M- £40 Quality is amplified by the way in which JW makes every track sound like we’ve been listening to them as anthems on the scene for decades, but several of the titles on this disc are lesser known 45s or LP only gems. Special mention Jackie’s version of ‘Darrell Banks – Open the door to your heart’, possibly the most covered soul track in the world with over 10 covers I know of! 5) Esquires – Get on up and get away – Bunky 300 (St) M-/M- £30 Bill Sheppard and Tom-Tom have a hand in this clutch of fabulous group soul tracks, all cemented by exquisite harmonies. The title tracks are finger poppers, there’s a slick cover of the ‘Rascals – Groovin’ and Mill Evans – When I’m ready – Tou-Sea’, ‘Everybody’s laughing’ is a fine beat ballad, then the sublime ‘How could it be’ which nestles in some DJ spot alongside the biggest tunes in the land, and finally the supreme x-over dancer “My sweet baby” from the US Fat Back 45. Liner notes from E Rodney Jones, President of the National Association of TV and Radio Announcers no less! Value for money or what? Little cover dink on bottom right corner PayPal by Friends or add 4% please, or I can send bank details. To be honest Ted I don't pay much attention to current music, Northern has me in its grip and when I do its mixed, Jack Johnson, Mikah, Kylie (only joking bout her) and some others that will remain nameless so I don't embarrass myself further, but when I watched the Gabriels I was straight onto the style, brilliant, loved it. I thought some of their other tracks were better (marginally) than Love and Hate, but liked it too. I for one will pick up their CD release on Sep 30, but probably need to buy a CD player to get over the next hurdle Hope you're well

BBC have pulled the whole Gabriels performance at Glastonbury, I wonder if anyone knows how I can get hold of the coverage, its not on youtube, or if anyone was able to secure it in any way? Feel free to message me if you can help? Ta, Lee
