  3. Just guessing, but it may have been based in the South -West. In all seriousness, I think there's an old topic on this somewhere.
  4. What was the seller's eBay I'd, just so I know who to avoid. Thanks.
  5. One for sale on the Rare Soul for sale page on facebook.
  6. You might have more luck with your search if you posted this in the "WANTS" section.
  7. Either that or some people have got more money than sense.
  8. I don't know about comedy sale, but do want to comment on comedy auction. £311 for Clarence Jackson demo!
  9. If you are still looking, Pat Brady has one listed on his site at £75.
  10. Seen yet another overpriced copy of Stanky by Billie Davis, this time a mere £250. ?
  11. Is the release with 67-C -506A LW LR, an original? Just been looking at a couple of old threads and there is mention of an original with a nashville matrix. All I've managed to do is confuse myself. I have a copy with the 67-C-506 LW LR scratched in. Just trying to clarify if it is an original or not, for peace of mind.
  12. Rest in Peace Joe. Seems such a trivial thing in these circumstances, that we will miss your postings of auction results. They were always appreciated. However our minor loss will no doubt be nothing compared to what your family and friends will be feeling at this time. My sincere heartfelt condolences go out to them.
  13. Dave, have you got a link to them? Please.
  14. I agree that some records seem to be overpriced. There seems to be quite a few tunes that were regularly £50 - £75, that are now being listed at £100+. I now just buy from one or two record dealers, as some I feel are just charging extortionate prices for common records. So much so that I sometimes can't even be bothered to look at their listings. What I'm saying is, that you're not alone in thinking that way.
  15. I was looking at getting a copy of The Broadways the other month. I was surprised to see it for auction, only believe it be worth between £35 - £50. How does someone value it at £161? The other record I was going to comment on that is currently listed for auction is the Clarence Jackson promo, how the **** is that an auction item? As great as the Edwin Starr record is, £764!!!! I'll keep my Ric-Tic copy thanks.
  16. At the Kent 25th anniversary I got Maxine Brown to sign her CD. I also got the poster signed by Maxine Brown, Mary Love, Winfield Parker, Tommy Hunt & The Flirtations unfortunately it's all creased up in the bottom of a drawer somewhere. Got Darrow Fletcher to autograph his CD at his gig at the 100 Club. Also got Ronnie Walker to sign the sleeve of On and On at Solid Hit Soul, although to be fair, he printed his name so it looks like someone has just written a name rather than signed it.
  17. Not forgetting it was a staple part of any scooterist playlist during the 80's!
  18. Should this not be in Sales?
  19. Received this morning. Bought off EBay, I was looking through a sellers listings and looked this up on YouTube. For less than £25 including postage from the USA, thought why not. Doc and the Interns - Baby I Know - Now Records.
  20. Must have sold quickly, they're all gone! Apologies, but pictures weren't on original post.
  21. £232 for Carl Carlton! Really?
  22. Rest in Peace Ortheia Barnes. I first heard her track, I've Never Loved Nobody on Kent's Soul Class of 66 album. Years later I heard it played at Soul Revolution by Matt Male and it sounded fantastic played out loud. It's safe to say it's one of my favourite records and one which I don't intend parting with.
  23. Just seen on Facebook that Joe passed away last night. I sincerely hope that is incorrect. RIP Joe.
  24. I recall an old thread mentioning that, prevention is better than the cure. In other words there's nothing you can do to repair them, sorry.
  25. I'm not too sure whether this would be classed as comedy, I just find it worrying! https://www.ebay.com/itm/371293907842?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Dunno what it will end up at, but does raise the bootlegging issues yet again.
