Interesting point that. The web page might well be subject to copyright, but there is no way a discography can be subject to copyright because it's just a list of factual information. A comparison would be if you listed the England team, and said it was copyrighted to you. That would mean no other newspaper, website, or any other sort of media would be able to list the England team.

I'm lost ? What's the point of the Youtube clip ? Are you saying you don't know Tobi legend, or are you saying you want records like Tobi legend, ie Played out oldies ?

Obviously looking in the wrong places https://www.soulfulkindamusic.net/fourtops.htm

It's a great record, I've been playing in my set for a while now, and that's a fair price as well. And my copy isn't water damaged either

I've owned both in the past. Now I've only got The Tempos. Need I say more

Personally I think it's a combination of two things which are affecting attendances at the 100 Club. Economics and the new hours. There just isn't the money around that there was two years ago, and people haven't got the same amount of disposable income that they did have. That coupled with the steady increase in train fares means that a lot of travelers who used to be there month in month out just can't afford to do it every month. It actually cost me over £50 in train and taxi fares last Saturday. Petrol prices are no better either to be honest. The second point relates to travelers by train as well. With a 6am finish I have just under three hours to wait for the first train back, there simply isn't a train before 8.50am, and it becomes a real pain in the arse hanging about in London, especially during the winter months. That said, I'll still get down there as often as I can. I hadn't been since last November, for a combination of reasons, mostly other DJ bookings and personal reasons, and I hadn't realised how much I missed the place.

Don't know if I qualify as a big name jock, but that's almost spot on for where I am at nighters, and why. The other reason I tend to stay in the main room is becaiuse that's the room where the record sales are. But when I'm not DJing I tend to frequent places like Move On, Disciples Of Soul, USOS, Taste Of Honey, Lifeline, all of which try and play something a little different

Wigan Casino - First Allnighter - Badge
Dave Rimmer replied to The Tempest's topic in All About the SOUL
Whilst we are on the subject of Wigan Badges, does anyone want to make me an offer for this one. Proper original one not a repro. Don't really want to sell it, but find myself in need of money at the moment. First PM with a decent offer gets it. -
Always. I DJ around fifty times a year usually, but if I'm not DJing somewhere, I'm out just enjoying myself.

Tony, Martin, and I would like to thank everyone who turned up yesterday at Margie's funeral, and all the people who contacted us to say they couldn't make it but were thinking of us. It's been a tough fortnight, but knowing that so many people cared about Margie has made it so much easier. So thank you, in it's own way, it was a perfect day. Over the course of the day I was given £417 in lieu of flowers, so that was given to Cancer Research UK this morning. Now, what most people wouldn't know is that one of Margie's friends is an artist by the name of Robert Bowers. He's really beginning to make a name for himself in the art world as a painter and sculptor (He's just sold a picture of President Obama to the White House believe it or not) and he did the painting below in the fortnight since Margie's death. Because he's such a nice guy, he has produced 200 A3 prints, all individually signed and numbered which he is selling for £10.00 each, with all the money being donated to Cancer Research as well. (About 140 have already been sold) So, if you'd like to buy a print, which will definitely appreciate in value, you can get in touch with Rob through his website, just say that Dave sent you. Here's the link Rob Bowers Art and then click on the contact link on his site to get to his email address. Oh yeah, he's an ex scooter riding Soul fan as well, so some of the Midland people might know him anyway.

If you read the whole article it's actually quite good. He's not taking the piss and has tried to analyse, in a technical sense of dance, the way dancers dance. Certainly I couldn't have written something so good. I enjoyed reading it, and will go back and read some of the other things he has written on Northern.

Dave is so right about making a will. Both Margie and I made one when we bought the house, and it made things so much easier for me in practical terms after she died. Not only did I know her wishes for a cremation, but as I was the Executor it meant that I could deal with her Estate as soon as I had the Death Certificate. As we all get older I'd also suggest you make a Lasting Power Of Attorney, so if you are too ill to make decisions yourself, the person / persons named will have the authority to do so without having to go to court to obtain Power Of Attorney which can apparently take several months and that might be critical for you. It's certainly something I intend doing in the next few days, because obviously, I now need a new Will, so I thought I'd try one of the online Will sites. Does anyone have any recommendations / advice as to which one to try ?

I've just added a load of photos (Including some that Shirley Woods sent me on a DVD, Thanks Shirl)
