  1. Come on guys there must be more than me, John, Ady & Colin.
  2. Up to £5000 already
  3. I shudder to think how many pints it is over the twenty years, or how many lost hours of sleep that I'll never see again
  4. It was a Monday afternoon when the first reports began to appear. They were initially dismissed as it didn’t seem possible, but it was established within a couple of hours that it was happening all over the country, too often for it to be a coincidence. Zombies had invaded England ! There were reports of people staggering around, trembling, and mumbling incoherently. Then the reports started coming in from Scotland and Ireland, they had cases with the exact same symptoms. By Tuesday morning cases had been reported as far away as Sweden, Germany, and Italy. The Governments of all the countries affected mobilised specialist chemical / nerve warfare troops, to attempt to capture one of the Zombies. They were quickly successful, and established two things, the Zombies weren’t actually dead people who had risen from the grave, and they had all attended the 21st Cleethorpes Soul Weekender !!! At least that’s how I felt this morning when the alarm went off at 5.30am. So I was wondering, how many people have a 100% attendance record for the weekenders ? I know I do, and Johnny Weston does. If you count each weekender as being on the Beachcomber for four days, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, that means, like me, you will have spent nearly three months of your life there over the last twenty years
  5. Hi Sean, Yeah Matt is still running Botanica, I've got a guest spot arranged on the 28th August
  6. Mostly because I have yet to see a download that has a booklet full of information with it !
  7. Unless of course it's people who have come into the main room from the modern room and found the artists singing Sixties tunes
  8. I would agree with Paul. It's unlikely a paypal claim would succeed againsy you becaiuse you have already made Ebay aware there is a problem with him as a customer. Bearing in mind that he also ignoredthe message Ebay sent him they are hardly likely to look favourably on a claim from him. What would he be able to say ?
  9. 1. You can't send it again because it hasn't come back to you yet. 2. It should have your name and address as sender on the package because this is usually a requirement when you post it. 3. If you do send it back to him, of course he has to pay postage again. It's not your fault he didn't collect it when he should have done. 4. Stop stressing. You sold the record, you have your money for it. You posted it, it arrived. Any problems after it arrived at his door are his problem, not yours. If it doesn't come back to you, I would suggest that you tell him he has to make a claim against the French post office for losing it.
  10. No problem at all Mark, All I've ever asked is that people credit the site as a source of information.
  11. Chris, just buy a legal one from Ace https://acerecords.co.uk/lets-talk-it-over-love-attack
  12. It's actually Ruby Andrews Pete.
  13. I think this whole thread is amazing..... of all the places you wouldn't have expected there to be a Soul scene, Bogota in Columbia is fairly high up the list. But a simple query here on SS gets a response an hour and ten minutes later giving details of the Bogota Soul Club. Brilliant !!
  14. Have you looked at the food they are selling
  15. As I first met Greg over ten years ago, and Jess has known him much longer, he's one of the people on my list to catch up with.
  16. Ok guys, not long now till I fly out to the States for the first time. We are out there for two and a half weeks and we will be spending time in Boston, New York, and Phoenix. So I'm looking for recommendations for things to do in any of these cities. It doesn't have to be Soul related, but that doesn't rule out recommending record stores or music museums. Just anything that is interesting, perhaps something you did on a visit and enjoyed. The only thing to bear in mind is that I'll be with Jessica, who is American, and has lived in Boston & New York, and visited Phoenix on several occasions (Parents, one in Boston, one in Phoenix) so will know about the obvious tourist things.
  17. Yeah, I was going to post the discog of the wanted records, then I realised you'd had the one you posted from my site anyway.
