  1. I have that CD somewhere, I'll have a look tonight. Did you get the email I sent you ?
  2. I love the fact that the fire service have said the council will reimburse any extra parking charges people will face ! Bearing in mind the cars will be ash and twisted metal I feel a charge for overstaying your ticket time will be the least of your worries !!!
  3. That's a pity because I've got one for sale
  4. That's how SS shows a table when you try to upload it.
  5. Dave Rimmer replied to a post in a topic in All About the SOUL
That's probably the most ridiculous statement made on this thread ! Even worse than some made by Pete Smith.
  6. Offered for sale on Steve Jerffries site Artist: Ringleaders Label: M-pac Condition: M- Price: £2000.00 Ringleaders "baby no more" c/u...Very Rare & Only Copy So Far After 5 Years Of Searching,Proberbly Issued In Mid 70s & Could Easyly Become The Biggest Sound Discovered In 2014
  7. I think it means they only play vinyl, so nothing that's on styrene is allowed
  8. I think Len probably phrases it better than me, what I was trying to say is if you are confident enough in your own set being a good set, and you are not attempting to beat Butch in terms of rarity, you can put a set in that will be just as appreciated by the dancers. For consistency over the years though, he's the man, and I don't think anyone will ever match that now.
  9. How did Ebay know it was going to be checked when they sent it ?
  10. I've done both. To be honest, you just have to accept that you are not going to match him in terms of rarities, but that doesn't mean you can't play just as good, well put together set.
  11. It was at Winsford allnighter, and the acetate was of Walter & The Admerations. Butch walked from the record bar to the stage, took the needle off the acetate, took the acetate off the deck and threw it across the stage, then walked back to the record bar. I wasn't the DJ, but I know who was, but I don't know whether he's on SS, so I'll not name him, but he's not local to Winsford.
  12. Try Johnny Weston, I know he was collecting Big Hit at one time.
  13. I read a post on FB that said The Cornerhouse is showing the film for the rest of the week. It might be worth a phone call to see if this is correct Steve
  14. He is a member on here, and does post occasionally.
  15. I've got one, and I know Wilko from Nottingham has because he was standing next to me when Ady gave us them, although I have no idea if he still has his.
  16. Did you not read my reply to your original post !
  17. Not exactly news though, it's been on SS since the 30th January. https://www.soul-source.co.uk/articles/words/voodoo-mademoiselles-lev-and-september-jones-r2840
  18. Chalky has just provided the dates for Lifeline, so that's the third set of dates for 2015 in the calendar (Rugby & Gloucester being the other two)
  19. Just a quick note to remind any allnighter promoters that the Allnighter Planner is still there, and I am now accepting any dates for 2015. (And of course any for 2014 as well) So, if you run an allnighter, or weekender, and want it including, just send me a PM giving the date and the venue, and I'll include it. By the way, this isn't limited to UK venues either, so let's see an international flavour to the planner over the next couple of years.
  20. It was 90 copies, I remember Ady telling me it was something to do with having to pay VAT (or BMI / ASCAAP fees) if you produce more than 90 copies. 90 or less copies counts as a promotional tool not a commercial enterprise.
  21. Mine arrived today. It's from Italy according to the sticker on the packaging. No limited edition number, but the records are all nice thick vinyl compared to the first set I had, and all flat ! Haven't had chance to play them yet though, and I've just realised that I've thrown the packaging jn the bin, along with the dispatch / returns paperwork. So there's me rooting in the bin tomorrow morning before the rubbish is collected !
  22. You must be getting befuddled in your old age Simsy. At no point did he say "shut the fuck up". Ted Massey did on his FB status though.
  23. Where are all the doomsayers then ? Overall, nearly every post has been supportive of these young girls. So it should be as well ! How exciting that must have been for them, some of them will be needing an agent soon....I'm available by the way, no experience, but I'll work for 10% It's great music at the end of the day, and deserves to live on, not in the hands of a bunch of grumpy old men like me, but in the hearts of young kids who enjoy dancing, for the sheer exhilartion that it brings them !!!
  24. Hardly surprising. But I bet Universal will have been unable to keep track of what has been sent back, or what is missing singles, or what is warped and unplayable, so they won't know who has got what number by now. I've ordered a second box set at the £19.48 price, but it hasn't been dispatched yet, nearly a week after I paid for it, which is a little concerning.
  25. I believe it was a question. Based on the fact that the post started with the word "Why".
