  1. In fairness the bit he was involved in was all very good, it was the actual manufacturing by Universal that was crap
  2. And his 7" Motown Singles Box, yes, that was quality
  3. It's the '6Ts Rhythm N Soul Club: In the beginning' CD, and yes it's on Kent https://www.amazon.co.uk/6ts-Rhythm-Soul-Society-Beginning/dp/B00074Q6JS/ref=pd_sim_m_h__9?ie=UTF8&refRID=0TV0SF71PFFPRXG7DJFM
  4. Chalky, your Auntie has been in touch and said where were you last night, it was brilliant down the pub. SS is quite literally the source for me, I always check here first when I need to know something. I also use FB, but in a totally different way. So the two can peacefully co-exist quite happily in my interweb adventures !
  5. Ian, read your PMs and let me have an address
  6. Yeah but you can have competitions to see who can find the most horrendous piece of tat. It's always worth just going looking for the laugh factor.
  7. Ian, I've emailed you the Ty Hunter WAV file.
  8. I have that CD somewhere, I'll have a look tonight. Did you get the email I sent you ?
  9. I love the fact that the fire service have said the council will reimburse any extra parking charges people will face ! Bearing in mind the cars will be ash and twisted metal I feel a charge for overstaying your ticket time will be the least of your worries !!!
  10. That's a pity because I've got one for sale
  11. That's how SS shows a table when you try to upload it.
  12. That's probably the most ridiculous statement made on this thread ! Even worse than some made by Pete Smith.
  13. Offered for sale on Steve Jerffries site Artist: Ringleaders Label: M-pac Condition: M- Price: £2000.00 Ringleaders "baby no more" c/u...Very Rare & Only Copy So Far After 5 Years Of Searching,Proberbly Issued In Mid 70s & Could Easyly Become The Biggest Sound Discovered In 2014
  14. I think it means they only play vinyl, so nothing that's on styrene is allowed
  15. I think Len probably phrases it better than me, what I was trying to say is if you are confident enough in your own set being a good set, and you are not attempting to beat Butch in terms of rarity, you can put a set in that will be just as appreciated by the dancers. For consistency over the years though, he's the man, and I don't think anyone will ever match that now.
  16. How did Ebay know it was going to be checked when they sent it ?
  17. I've done both. To be honest, you just have to accept that you are not going to match him in terms of rarities, but that doesn't mean you can't play just as good, well put together set.
  18. It was at Winsford allnighter, and the acetate was of Walter & The Admerations. Butch walked from the record bar to the stage, took the needle off the acetate, took the acetate off the deck and threw it across the stage, then walked back to the record bar. I wasn't the DJ, but I know who was, but I don't know whether he's on SS, so I'll not name him, but he's not local to Winsford.
  19. Try Johnny Weston, I know he was collecting Big Hit at one time.
  20. I read a post on FB that said The Cornerhouse is showing the film for the rest of the week. It might be worth a phone call to see if this is correct Steve
  21. He is a member on here, and does post occasionally.
  22. I've got one, and I know Wilko from Nottingham has because he was standing next to me when Ady gave us them, although I have no idea if he still has his.
  23. Did you not read my reply to your original post !
  24. Not exactly news though, it's been on SS since the 30th January. https://www.soul-source.co.uk/articles/words/voodoo-mademoiselles-lev-and-september-jones-r2840
  25. Chalky has just provided the dates for Lifeline, so that's the third set of dates for 2015 in the calendar (Rugby & Gloucester being the other two)
