  1. Just to show how much effort Rob put into returning this 45 to Callum, he originally asked if it was mine because he knows I have one (And funnily enough use yellow sleeves) and he preceeded me on the decks so thought he may have just packed it away with his records. It wasn't mine, but I remembered someone else playing it, so got in touch with Sian, who contacted Callum to confirm it was his. Top, top man Rob.
  2. Now I would never claim to be a photographer by a long chalk. I have however owned a couple of decent cameras over the years, and been fortunate to DJ in lots of great places, so here are a few of what I consider to be the better photographs. Jess doing what she does best, sleeping, but with a rather nice backdrop of the Brecon Beacons. Taken fron the Eiffel Tower on full zoom Taken from underneath the Eiffel Tower Three from New York One of the last remaining sections of the Berlin Wall Hamburg docks from the harbour That great big spike thing in Dublin's main street Somewhere over the Atlantic And finally, one that made me laugh, but Jessica didn't know why, because Gobbling has a totally different meaning here than it does in the States
  3. Really interesting article. Thanks for posting the link Mike
  4. Check my site Joe. It's not a complete discography but I've got most of them.
  5. She attended the 100 Club on more than one occasion before she made it as a singer, so no, it probably isn't more celebrity band wagon jumping.
  6. Still looking for this one.
  7. You thought £1022 for Troy Dodds was reasonable ???????
  8. Blimey that was quick. I only posted them yesterday second class
  9. Nope. And for something I'm giving away free I'm not going to bother doing one either.
  10. Interesting that there are some venues that run different nights, by different promoters, quite successfully, at the same venue.
  11. Reduced by £22 for a quick sale
  12. Still in the box, no scratches, marks, or damage of any sort. Vodafone linked, but so easy to get them unlocked these days. Treat yourself for Christmas £108 including Special Delivery post to the UK. PM for any other details you need.
  13. I think you've got all of those in your parcel.
  14. I have copies of the following magazines left Normal issues: 66, 67, 68, 71, 72 Discography Specials: 2 (1 left), 5, Atlantic/Atco, Artist discogs 2, Detroit (1 left)
  15. Sorry, no spare books, they have long gone.
  16. Just a quick bump for this, still got a huge pile left, even though I've parcelled 55 up today. If it helps, postage for five copies is £3.00
  17. I have a huge pile of various back issues, and I really need the space. So, rather than throw them out, I'd like to give them away, to anyone that wants copies. All you have to do is pay the postage. Here's the deal: You tell me which copies you are missing, or would like, I'll let you know which ones I have, and how much the postage will be. Can't say fairer than that can I ! Merry Christmas
  18. Johnnie Mae Matthews - Don't Talk About My Man / He Really Loves Me - Big D Doesn't have to be mint, but must play through without skips or jumps. PM me with price and condition
  19. Because it's an allnighter planner, not a mini niter planner.
  20. Hmmm, good comeback ! Ok, I'll have a think. Phew ! Glad that's over. The point I was making was that I can happily drink all night without drinking to excess and getting drunk. It's not a question of volume, it's a question of pacing what you do drink
  21. What car, I don't drive ! Smartarse.
  22. That's not the answer though Steve. You saw me at Radcliffe, I'd been drinking all night, (and was quite put out when they closed the bar at 5am, mostly because I didn't know it was closing and didn't have a drink left.) Yet I think you'll agree I wasn't causing any trouble, fighting, falling down drunk. In fact people see me at niters all over the country, where I drink as long as the bar is open, and I bet nobody can recall an occasion where I've been falling down drunk.(Yes I know, I've just invited all the piss takers to come up with horror stories from my past ) So why should I be penalised because of the actions of a few people (and it is a few) who cannot control their drinking. I'm not saying I'd stop attending, but it would make me think twice about travelling across the country if I couldn't get a drink at the other end (Especially after the nightmare journey I had getting to Radcliffe). So it's not the answer. The answer is that the promoter has to be responsible for all ticket sales, and the venue has to be 'policed' properly, by registered security staff, preferably off the scene. As a final note, I'd say if someone who was left handed caused trouble, would you ban all left handed people from a venue ?
  23. Quick one for all promoters. You can get your dates added to the planner simply by sending me a PM here on Soul Source. I'm currently adding dates for 2015 & 2016 Only proper allnighters or weekenders though, none of these mini niter things finishing at 4am will be added.
  24. I've got a Crosley, and it doesn't cause any damage at all that I can see or hear on Styrene. Following your post I thought I'd try playing the same styrene record ten times to see if I could replicate the damage. Nope, not a mark, or deterioration in sound. Perhaps you just got one with a duff needle ?
