  6. Pete Sorry mate but your talkin' out of your arse, this record has been known about for years. John Anderson turned the first copy up in 1987, I was offered it for £200 at a record fair in Manchester, but didn't like and turned it down. I later mentioned it to Mick (Smith) who then bought it later the same day. Dave Welding

  12. Hi Rob Don Mancha isn't a native Detroiter, he's originally from Baton Rouge. He and his family made the all too familiar trek north for work etc He also lived on the West Coast for a while. Dave
  13. Don Mancha was living in New York at the time he wrote "I Found True Love/She Said Goodbye" soon getting homesick he returned to the motorcity. It was he who persuaded Luther Dixon to join him, while there Musicor records employed Luther to produce the Platters on their "Going Back To Detroit" album etc. As told to me by Don himself Dave
  14. Depends if it's still got a copy of "Not Me Baby" inside.
  15. Hi Andy I assume that these press ups are infact finger press ups as apposed to the real McCoy? or how else are you managing to type on a key board at the same time. Have a word with Kitch he exercises his fingers regularly by removing ring pulls (usually from tins of Fosters!) Dave
  16. Come on folks dig deep in those pockets for this noble cause! These four fine fellows plus their logistical support team (well someboby's gotta carry the bottle opener Jock) are gonna put their highly tunned bodies through hell on a golf course, so they need loads of support. I've also heard on the grapevine that next year their planning on doing a boat race. From golf shoe shufflers to the cockless fours eh! (I hope I spelt that right ) Dave
  17. I always thought Geoff was joking when he reckoned that you show signs of fatigue after two rounds of drinks , Martin?
  18. Shout! Last orders at the club house bar!
  19. I seem to vagely remember a article containing a interview with Jack Asford in Jacques Pe'rin's Soul Bag Magazine along with other Detriot artist's etc. Has anyone got a copy as this might answer the question to the validity of the Googa Mooga releases? We would also then need someone who can then read French Dave
