  7. Yes Nick You'd be surprised how many people missed out on the Moonlite Hope 45 as a new release, that's why we have included both sides of the 45 on Jesse's new album. Dave Soul Junction

  9. Nice One Jocko Audio's ' Won't Somebody' despite all the vitriol we (Soul Junction) received about only releasing it on a vinyl format has now virtually sold out. So due to this success a follow up release is now being recorded for release early next year. Keep your ears and eyes open for a even bigger announcement regarding Audio/ Vince Broomfield breaking soon Dave
  10. You tell 'em Joan, 'Good Little You'
  11. Hi Steve I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one to suffer the pleads of poverty from the infamous 'DJ Slimfast' I usual counter attack with the threat of charging International airmail rates once Scotland becomes fully independent
  12. Guess what ! the Soul Junction label have had the audacity to release a brand new vinyl only album on the legend that is Jesse James. Entitled 'Let Me Show You' SJ5005. Release Date: August 13th 2012 The album features both sides of his in demand Moonlite Hope 45 'I Got The Feeling/Let Me Show You'. The now deleted 2008 Soul Junction 45 release 'I Feel Your Love Changing' plus the full length version of 'I Gave You Love With An 'A' Plus. The previously unissued late 60's midtempo offering 'I Don't Want An Undivided Love' and a excellent cover version of the Terry Callier penned 'Just As Long As Were In Love' (also recorded by Terry, as well as the Mighty Dells) plus one or two others for good measure. Check out the soundfiles and cover design (from our very own Angelo Acanfora) on our website: www.souljunctionrecords.co.uk P.S I've already reserved you a copy Jock along with the Ivy Jo Hunter 45 'See You Around' that you forgot to pick up at Cleethorpes!!! Dave Soul Junction
  13. Sticky Records also put Running Out Of Gas out as a 45, 3 to 4 years back. Will was also the co producer on the Duane Williams( formerly Beverley & Duane) 45 and cd album we released on Soul Junction in 2008. Dave
  14. Who says a "Poor Dog Can't Wag His Own Tail"
  15. Wow Jocko nice speech If your career in banking ever goes tits up you can always move over into the world of politics am sure you could that Alex Salmon a run for his money as first minister Anyone videoing the days proceedings? this could turn into a classic Brit Flick remake of "Caddy Shack" Do they have Goffer's in Scotland? Dave
  16. Where's the trailer full of cans off the back gone then Chalky?
  17. Julia left in charge of a golf buggy full of booze, OMG!!!!
  18. Hi Andy May I just suggest deffin' the scarf in favour of a nice cool cravat to accompany your safari suit, if it gets too hot am sure Jocko will be wearing his pith helmet and baggy khaki shorts ala lofty a.k.a Don Estelle of "It Ain't Arf Hot Mum" style. Right any tight -fisted beggars who haven't yet coughed up a donation, shame on you GET DIGGIN' IN YA POCKETS!!!!
  19. Bugger!! Louise has just donated this weeks house keeping, that's oven chips for tea for the rest of the week Dave
  20. Oh! just remembered a helpful little tip Mr Whitmore If Kitch beings to suffer the effects of fatigue later in the day and his balls (the golf variety) keep ending up in the rough ! Check the ring tones on your phone and give him a quick blast of William Bell's "I'm Happ'sey ( ) that'll pick up his game for sure. Dave
  21. I did notice that the golf shoe sufflers were all refraining from indulging in any alcoholic bearages and fatty foods during the Cleethorpes mayhem, their early morning runs and stretching exercises were a truly insperational sight  With the exception of Jocko that is who claimed his time was better suited to the tactical side of the game as he snuggled down in his deck chair, took a bite of a double egg and bacon butty and continued to read his copy of the sunday sport !!!! Give E-bay a miss today folks and donate your money to a great cause Dave
  22. A good ten years on, from it's intial impact on the modern scene Dave P.S In the words of Diane Duncan "Better late Than Never"
  23. I've been reading this thread with great interest and to me the moral of this story is to collect good /great records as they come along and not what's currently in vogue. As in the case of some of Butch's cheaper spins: Flairs, Lee Feilds Sherrell Bros, Johnny Howard, Bobby Guitar Woods, Soft Touch etc A good record will always have it's day, a old school collector/Dj will have a copy in his racks to pull out and play while a new wave trendy "Hot Boxer" will have to pay through the nose to get a copy usually causing a stampede on E-bay (and most probably lose his ass/money when the record goes off the boil). Also selling off a good/great record when it's not in vogue is also plain daft, look at Jeese Johnson (Old Town) and Celeste Hardy (Reynolds) both of these have made more comebacks than George Best. Dave
