  1. That should encourage some budding entrepreneur to disign a range of "Keep The Faith" romper suits to sell with the rest of the tat!!! Let the little fella discover his own musical tastes and don't scar him for life Dave
  2. I'm with Bob on this as I've spoken with all the Candi-Bars members and not one of them knew of the Gule release, after all it is their own recording and publishing so if it was ligit one of them would have known. Dave
  3. Unfortunately that's the risk you take with offering a download, which should be a format for honest people to listen to music who don't desire a physical product. But the reality is you running thr risk of some unsrupilous bastard nicking your master. Who can then produce a vinyl boot leg with no advance royalities or mastering costs thus making a killing. But then again you also have to question the integrity of the buyers of such products ? As you know we at Soul Junction only put partial soundclips up of our releases on our site. One day while searching around on the net I found one bastard was offering the partail soundclip of Vince Broomfield's "Won't Somebody" as a moblie phone ringtone! I spend a lot of time telling independent artists not to put full clips of their songs on their own or any websites including you tube as it will inevitably get ripped off. The same thing goes for radio Dj's they really need to run a jingle or partially talk over the track, this still may not stop the bootleggers but you've got to try and make it harder for 'em to do it. May they die a slow and horrible death Dave
  4. That's only because you can't reach it Ted ! LOL
  5. Big Sofa !
  6. I'm really surprised that Ginger after his appearance last night hasn't been mentioned more in this thread ? Young Raymond has come along way since his earliest TV appearances as the Swedish Chef on the Muppet show Dave
  7. Thanks for letting me know is there a You Tube clip ? LOL I wonder if the nutter with the flowery hat shares the same gentleman's outfitter as Ted Massey ? Dave

  12. Hi Pete I think you should add that you where standing next to Mick when he rang me at Prestatyn about BH.It just so happened that John (Anderson) and myself while having our breakfast where playing through a box of Philly acetates he had taken, working out the unissued ones from the issued. So after Mick's call we began to reminisce about the Benny Harper story again. Dave
  13. Yes Pete It was me who actually told Mick to buy a copy off John in the first place. John circa 15 years ago, had hit a shop in Texas where he found circa 30-35 copies of Benny Harper. Due to the fact that the stores roof out back had a leak most of the copies he found although the vinyl was mint had varying degrees of water damage with only about 6-7 still remaining in mint condition. The mint copies were sold at £500.00( one of which I bought) with the others being discounted according to their label condition with the worst ones (i.e.KIrsty's recent sale)being eventually sold off at £200 each. The Irony is that the copy Kitch recently sold which if memory serves me right had no more than a 10% water label stain sells for just over £800.00 and has you can see from the previous scans on this thead one of the worst ones sell for £1500, unbelivable. Dave
  14. Unless Mick is becoming senile he knew it was me we've been close friend since the mid 70's so there isn't much we don't know about each other believe me ! Dave
  15. "Somebody (Somewhere) Needs You" ain't too shabby either
  16. Just think of the royalties it will be earning Smokey ? Mind you it might get the Manchester Northern Soul dancers another TV gig Dave
  17. Your forgiven Steve might be a idea to reserve a spare copy ATB Dave
  18. OMG Andy How could I have ever forgotten the mercurial Frazer Dunn, one of Scotland's finest soulmen and last of the big time spenders I often joked about having to charge him airmail postage rates, but I bet he's starting to get worried now Dave
  19. Hi Allan Are these prices in Dollars or Pounds Sterling ? Dave
  20. Glad you like it Jerry your doing a sterling promotional job for us down there in Gloucestershire on your GFM breakfast soul show ably abieted on a Tuesday night by Mr Thorley's "Crossing The Tracks" show. Anyone wishing to hear more Soul Junction stuff can tune into Steve Guarnori's Friday night "Soul Time" show, Chico's Tudno soul Show, Bob Smith and Wayne Arbon's Sunday night soul Soirée, Mick O'Donnell's Soul Discovery earlier sunday night show or Paul Cater on Ambersound amongst others Checkout the links and playlists in the Soul ,Video, Auudio section on soul source N.B. It would appear that the cd has reactivated some renewed interest in Natural Impulses "We're Gonna Make It Through" judging by the e-mails we have recieved today, sadly the 45 is long deleted so people will have to make do with the cd I'm afraid. Dave
