  2. As quoted by John Anderson today: He remembers buying a soul radio Dj's collection from Baltimore in the 70's which included a copy of the Andantes. The majority of the collection were demo copies, but the Andantes was a issue with a drill hole through the label, a usual practice when records went to the cut outs and usually done while theiy were still in their boxes (hence why sometimes the drill hole goes through the run out groove). Whether this was a single 25 count box or one of several who knows ?This particular copy went to Levine for the princely sum some of 15 quid. Dave
  3. Yes Andy Sterling promotional work from both Steve and Frazer and both their shows are essential listening add this to the solar and starpoint guys along with many others and A.T is getting some well deserved exposure. Oh! and a big thanks to you as I woke up this morning to find 3 A.T. orders via the website from soul source members (don't get any ideas about commission though ) Dave
  4. Hey Rod Were the writers credits 'Mallard, Moorhen and Gosling' by any chance? Dave
  5. I wonder how many people are buying record shop day releases as a investment as opposed to buying them because they really like them. A bit like cup final tickets the real supporters seem to miss out ? Your thoughts? Dave

  10. Gwen & Ray "Build Your House On A Strong Foundation" Bee Bee ? Dave
  11. Wow! RodAfter reading this I seem to have developed a migraine ! Dave
  12. In the words of that old sauve pervert Leslie Philips Ding Dong! It's a little known fact that their is a 150 current practicing troops of Morris Dancers in the United States Of America alone I bet the Red Indians are well impressed. With that little pearl of Knowledge I'll leave you all to it. Dave
  13. In the 1980's I Dj'ed at a soul night at pub called the Fountain on a Tuesday night. This was also the night the local Morris Dancers held their practice meetings on the carpark. I was eventually asked to turn the music down as it was put them off their steps. LOL Dave
  14. That should encourage some budding entrepreneur to disign a range of "Keep The Faith" romper suits to sell with the rest of the tat!!! Let the little fella discover his own musical tastes and don't scar him for life Dave
  15. I'm with Bob on this as I've spoken with all the Candi-Bars members and not one of them knew of the Gule release, after all it is their own recording and publishing so if it was ligit one of them would have known. Dave
  16. Unfortunately that's the risk you take with offering a download, which should be a format for honest people to listen to music who don't desire a physical product. But the reality is you running thr risk of some unsrupilous bastard nicking your master. Who can then produce a vinyl boot leg with no advance royalities or mastering costs thus making a killing. But then again you also have to question the integrity of the buyers of such products ? As you know we at Soul Junction only put partial soundclips up of our releases on our site. One day while searching around on the net I found one bastard was offering the partail soundclip of Vince Broomfield's "Won't Somebody" as a moblie phone ringtone! I spend a lot of time telling independent artists not to put full clips of their songs on their own or any websites including you tube as it will inevitably get ripped off. The same thing goes for radio Dj's they really need to run a jingle or partially talk over the track, this still may not stop the bootleggers but you've got to try and make it harder for 'em to do it. May they die a slow and horrible death Dave
  17. That's only because you can't reach it Ted ! LOL
  18. Big Sofa !
  19. I'm really surprised that Ginger after his appearance last night hasn't been mentioned more in this thread ? Young Raymond has come along way since his earliest TV appearances as the Swedish Chef on the Muppet show Dave
  20. Thanks for letting me know is there a You Tube clip ? LOL I wonder if the nutter with the flowery hat shares the same gentleman's outfitter as Ted Massey ? Dave
  21. Totally gutted, only watched it to see if Alex Jones wore BIG PANTS Dave
