  3. Many thanks for your comments Steve, initial sales are going really well a lot of people will find a little surprise amongst their perennial gift of new socks and those bloody awful Ferrero Rocher this year ! Dave SJ
  4. When did the BBC seize control of the northern scene. Some of the producers wern't even born in the late 1960's- early 1970's and they'd probably treat the mention of a black bomber as a rascist commment ! Dave
  5. Yes DJ's should pay an entrance fee, and let the punters in for nothing after all these days there's more Dj's than punters and the promotors make make a few quid !
  6. My Copy is mint but as previously mentioned plays lo-fi, but hey thats part of the charm of obscure independent labels. If everything was perfect we'd have nothing to talk about. My copy was used on the Grapevine cd album "The Northern Soul Of New Orleans" (GVCD 3004) which icluded another much debated poor sound reproduction 45 Elliot Small's I'm A Devil (ABS). Dave Welding
  7. Agreed Steve Brandon Stevens talents extend beyond that of a vocalist as it he who is reponsible for the design of the above album cover. Dave

Hi Guys Soul Junction are just helping out with the promotion of the new Chairman Of The Board track, the song is a colaboration between McKinley Jackson and Melvin and Marvin Steals (Of The Four Perfections Fame) under their own MoPhilly International label. Watch out for a forthcoming Soul Junction project featuring not one but five brilliant unissued Philly tracks from the pens of Mervin "Mystro" and Melvin "Lyric" Steals a couple of guys who know a thing or two adout righting a hit record i.e The Spinners "Could It Be I'm Falling In Love" plus Magic Night's northern/modern soul classic "If You And I Had Never Met" etc , etc Dave SJ

  22. I had several dealings with John Schroeder in recent years regarding a publishing connection between one of our Soul Junction projects connected to his time in Canada and found him to be a very modest and humble man. Helpful in every way, the quintessential English gentlleman. A man who could sell sand to a arab with the popularity (even today) of his UK funk band Cymande in America. Dave
