  1. F*ck, now I don't know what I am! Loved the music since first hearing it at my first Isle of Wight rally ('83? ) and seeing the joyful and totally 'in-a-world-of-your-own' dancing. Listened to it, and loved it, ever since. As a single bloke I used to travel all over with mates, now I'm married with kids and all that entails just can't afford to or even want to. I want to have fun with them while they're young and actually like me (a bit) at weekends, not be too knackered after a nighter to do ought but kip. Still colllecting 45's, and play them sometimes at mates parties too, and finding this site was a blessing - nice to know what's going on musicwise and still nothing better than hearing a track for the first time that gets me spine a'shivering and the hairs-on-the-back-of-me-neck a'quivering. But if I don't get out and about, and none of you lot know me face, does it make me any less of a rare soul fan? Do I need to f*ck off now?
  2. Desperate to get hold of this but am I right in thinking it was never released on 45? Is it right the only way of getting it is on "Meet The Exportations"? Whilst we're on the subject can anyone tell me a bit more about them, if the rest of their stuff's as classy and harmonic as this? Any info greatly appreciated Now for the footie
  3. Cheers Bearsy - dunno why, just can't be doing with those coloured vinyl things? I'll shut up now before I'm 'labelled' racist
  4. Top man Rod, cheers Can't take this off in the car, starting to 'drive' the missus nuts! Thanks again Steve
  5. Any of you knowledgable peeps give me the artist, title, labal and cost of this classy little gem please? Starts off with a nice little drum roll intro, then band with guitar over the top, then strings and horns, then............ "Haven't you noticed the things I do Didn't it ever occur to you Why I'm concerned about you all the time baby Why you're always on my mind Because I (I) I I'm in love with you Girl I'm in love with you baby" Thanks in advance Steve
  6. Any of you knowledgeable types help me out with a price on this please? TIA
  7. Even worse! Flatter delivery than the Major's daisy cutters that destroyed Old Guffington's Biogoted XI in '48
  8. Do they really shoot you in the head for littering? I knew they eat their own children if they had more than one and it was a girl, but sweet Jesus! Why, if their stuff wasn't so cheap I 'd buy elsewhere Do Zimbabwe export much clobber?
  9. [c]22969[/c] Just heard this for the first time as it's about to end on ebay - does this get played out at all? Lovely detroit, loving that piano

  11. Agree with Steve here, impossible to limit this to one, and also agree with The Charades - starts off like a feckin' train, love it. Others are Willie Hutch - Can't fight the power, Gees - Love is a beautiful thing, Turley Richards - I feel alright & current favourite (again ) Sonny Oceans - Pity me
  12. Didn't like Duffy's version at all, hated the 'northern' connotations shoe-horned onto it by the media, and after hearing some of her other stuff I find it all a bit banal & anodyne - perfect pop for today's market/kids, but a complete waste of an undoubted talent and a very intriguing voice. She should get herself a decent soulful songwriter - and I'm sure we've all got different views on who the ideal person/s would be - and push & stretch herself a bit. I would, however, bash the granny out of her. I really liked Third Degree's version, would - have - bought it, have danced to it & think it sounds mustard when played ou
  13. Cheers Stave So one of those 'orrible 'boot' thingys would go for.................? (not that I'd ever darken my box with one of course )
  14. Cheers Lads - that's the wife's birthday sorted then
  15. Oh, and my last, last 3 were: Pity Me - Sonny Ocean (just cause I love it and hadn't managed to squeeze it in) Call my name - James Royal Mr Moonlight - Lenny O'Henry (sorry, name always makes me smile)
  16. What's the rest of this album like Matt, Worth a pop?
  17. Thx Alan, looks like another one for Santa's list then Can't stop playing it at the moment, esp in the car - which means I'm driving everywhere at the moment about 100 mph! On the cd in between "Girl with the big black boots" and Southwind Symphony's "Coming home" Fasten your seatbelt...............
  18. Could one of you knowledgable sorts give me a price on one of these please TIA
  19. Absolutely loving this Gasher - how much (roughly) do these go for ?
  20. Like that Ken, very 'Hair'. Is it a James trouble re-issue?
  21. Yep, this is "What can I do" - seen plenty of these about but no '....hold on's So still looking for this......? Or is it another one that everyone keeps, like Sam Williams on Grapevine - which I'm still after incidentally
  22. Yeah I was watching that, the only thing that worried me was the warp he mentioned - saying that another glass of wine and I'd have bid for it
  23. After one of these please, but orange 70's re-issue - unless anyone's got the originals at same price?
  24. Cheers Blunny Orange 70's it is then Would anyone have one to go?
  25. What's the cheapest for one of these ? Not bothered about label/issue, condition VG+ or better Cheers
