Asked to do 2 sets at what was a really enjoyable event, usual strong turn out for the alldayers.... Thanks to Paddy for organising and to all who played and danced........ my bits all OVO...
I prefer my record purchases to be a real financial sacrifice, that way they are precious to me so I dont do the lottery!
(I drive a 15 year old car but i do have a calvin grayson in my collection...)
to also correct an earlier post as they recorded 'you've got soul' also on talent of music. I prefer 'you've got soul' (but quite pleased ive got both) which has an interesting version of 'dancing in the streets' on the flip.
a well known dealer did have a copy of 'hi-note' for sale at £3500 a month or so back and its not on the site anymore !!!!!!!
and another thing (altho none of my business really) is that staying at home (while your mates are there enjoying themselves definately wont make you feel any younger
of course it would never happen....... I was just looking for positives and for me it is the amount of music that is available to be discovered and played.
The sheer volume of sounds to appreciate...................... {just considering the titles in the latest manship guide you could run a weekly 10 hour event for 5 years and not play a single repeat}
I've never heard it out at a ns do, my point was that if someone likes bob sinclair then they might actually find this a bit more soulful. I wouldn't want to hear either at a ns do but i quite like playing the dj genesis when I am in a 'soulful house' mood at home.
One that i have heard out a few times that i could do without is 'Beggin' - my receptionist plays radio1 in the office and they play it quite regularly.
