  1. Cheers John somehow missed that. Even more logic then they changed their mind and decided to plug Glad I Found you with horns instead IMHO
  2. Still seems to be confusion regarding this fantastic double sider. Was raised by other persons on FB few days ago but wasn't followed up so will try here instead . Many say all releases of this track are genuine while others suspect one version might be more recently pressed/booted ... Not sure if anyone knows for sure?? I got this label design often described as first press no address on label. Producer Bill Moss added to list. Horns included on track https://www.popsike.com/php/detaildatar.php?itemnr=270971317269 Other label design looks like this. Only seen this with address but someone said exist without address as well. Also have text "Production without permission prohibited" https://www.popsike.com/php/detaildatar.php?itemnr=370300666292 Time on the You Got me side is incorrect on this label version 3:05 ( same as Glad i Found you). Should be about 2:25 https://www.popsike.com/php/detaildatar.php?itemnr=121174748302 Is it confirmed by anyone top one is the first press? For me it sounds more logic that the version with the added horns/ producer name Bill Moss added and correct time on the You Got me Side is a second and updated release of the same track?? Have no idea but personally think version without Horns text "Production without permission prohibited" was the first press and some kind of test/demo press and it seems bit rarer. That the version with Horns no address label corrected was the attempt for an official release at a similar time. Just my theory though and could defo be wrong. any thoughts about this or others with more info? All input much appreciated
  3. Was going to type this as well as intro a bit morse code but seen you beat me to it. Chase goes on
  4. There is a song "You're My Salvation" on the otherwise fantastic Ascots Colour me Soul album , I'm not sure what he's doing there tbh .. Really struggles with a few notes. wish they would have replaced it and included Few Feet from the Gutter on the album instead as it says on the back
  5. Good luck with finding one, other side Sophisticated Walk might be more known for others (at least myself) so just to up your chances here. Got a copy from Soul Source myself a year ago cool tune
  6. Glad mine did not sell two years ago as for keeps. Was reduced to £40 in the end and no takers. Was bit harder selling records back then though as the height of recession which affected record buying as well. I think Marks value of about £40-£60 is fair above auction $23 definite good value for this record.
  7. Remember when I watched the Leicester 84 video including the dance competition for the first time. Was on a high for months same effect as This is England footage did when watched it first time.
  8. Thought you did very well Ian and some other ok bits as well. But at times there is to much talking to little music for me really. The feeling you get on the floor dancing to best music ever or a certain tune that takes you away wasn't captured enough or at all IMO. Just wish Stafford, 100 Club 80s to present, European scene would be mentioned more as well. Im glad you enjoyed it though and if others did as well even better
  9. Was mostly poor if I'm honest. To much talking not enough focus on the music. As said no mention Stafford n the 80s scene and def nothing about today's scene in UK and Europe. Culture show was much much better. Enough of these documentaries pls as they can not catch the real feeling you get on the floor. Time to focus more on the artists labels musicians producers from now on me thinks.
  10. When I got my blue copy think 2005 was told only a handful black copies existed and that it went for more money so probably black.. Think Chuck Flamingo is a great record myself btw
  11. 360 is a very good price for that record indeed. The blue coloured ones seems to be rarer than the black ones now IMO since a handful of the blacks ones recently turned up. Found this old thread about a red version as well.
  12. Agree fully with Pete here. 24-48 hours and if no reply move on to next person. Only exception with longer time frame maybe if he has been a good customer to you before. I had to do this with one of my sales a year ago or so. Felt bad doing it but first person that never got back understood fully that I had to move it on.
  13. Bought mine from an Henry Atkinson sales tape for £30 many years ago. Sold it for same money sadly wish I'd kept it. Always thought it sounded like an expensive record somehow. You win some and loose some as they say .
  14. Did not catch this one sadly. Of others can really recommend Sharing the Soul's 3hour B Womack special thats up on Mixcloud fantastic stuff
  15. Is there a revival on the Roosevelt Grier atm? Many bids on it used be steady bit under £100 when I had it. Some interesting prices there
  16. Must be a Huddersfield sound this Steve . Remember Eddie Engle played this in Gothenburg quite a few years back. Cool tune
  17. Very very sad news indeed...RIP Bobby and thanks for all the fantastic music.
  18. RIP Don Davis and thanks just played the Rare Stamps album amazing music
  19. Never heard about a boot on this one either.. Definitely a Mystery why some have DJ copy to the left and others to the right though
  20. Especially at venues with a Lacrosse the board music policy
  21. We got a cheap record from US recently same story. Loads of positive feedback 24000 or something and just an empty inner sleeve as protection... It had a tiny crack at the start but could not be bothered to complain this time. Puzzles me as well how a record dealer can ship away a record across the globe with hardly any protection... Always been lucky with US dealers otherwise..
  22. Thanks Chris had totally forgot about this dress rehearsal tune. Love it! Thought my SS account was hacked for a while going back a bit this
  23. Great stuff cheers noticed "printed in U.S.A" on mine as well. Matrix matched up with the Discogs link as well
